Food & drinks: Small but tasty menu. Recommend the mushroom starter or the haggis balls. The fish on the main menu was delicious. The venison was a little chewy but overall a great meal.

Love this hotel. It has so much charm. I got a single room and it was perfect. I stayed two separate nights in between my visit to Orkney Island. They stored my bags so I only had to take my backpack. When I returned for my second night they had my bags in my room already. There was also a plug in by the bed.Nearby activities: The hotel is in town close to the shops and other attractions and a quick bus ride away from the ferry terminal

Went for dinner. Not a huge selection on menu, but a variety of choice. We were seated under a Pagoda kind of thing with very little lighting, personally a bit too dark, especially in the dark nights. Service was good. No long wait for food. If not picking everyone in the group thought a few more chips would have been good. Nice massive piece of fish. Would go back. Great location in centre of town.

I had lovely Dinner at Holborn last Friday.Fresh and tasty local fish and chips.Staff so helpful and caring. We took a table in the garden due to lovely weather. You can?t wish anything better.Smile faces around, Thank you ?

Had a one night stay at the hotel whilst doing a solo tour of the region .. Hotel probably does need some money spent on it for a bit of a facelift; however I found my single room adequate for my needs & the breakfast was fine with plenty of choice. It is very central to town, a few minutes walk from the Railway Station & the beach. The hotel has a resturant attached but I cannot comment as I did not use it.

I cannot begin to thank the staff here enough. Everyone was lovely, helpful and so kind. The hotel itself was great. Bar and dining areas are , I would say, fairly recently done up and look good. Clean and slick. Bedrooms were clean and tidy and totally functional. We ate in both the restaurant and bar and the food was great in both. Breakfast was well cooked and scottish too. I loved it and hope to get back soon.

Stayed here for 1 night while doing the NC500 bar was nice service was excellent food was amazing staff were lovely. Then there was the room it was small but clean the Tver was on top of the wardrobe you would have to have been a giraffe to watch it the bed was very uncomfortable and only 1 pillow each. Would not recommend rooms but would recommend for a meal

Excellent hotel, friendly welcoming staff on arrival, room very clean and comfortable, shower very good. Evening meal one of the best I?ve tasted fresh monkfish in lovely sauce and fresh veg, the full breakfast in the morning was amazing especially the local sourced black pudding it?s so yummy. We experienced a wonderful stay in this hotel all the staff were very helpful and friendly we will definitely be back to this hotel and highly recommend others going here for a stay over.

Didn't stay in hotel just had evening meal in the bar. To be honest it was tasteless and warm and served by a grumpy male waiter. The fish was soggy and warm, the goujons must have come from a cheap supermarket.

An under rated hotel with nice pub and restaurant inside. Quick walk to other local restaurants, fish and chips, Indian food and pubs.
