Everything you'd want for a quiet few days away: excellent food, fresh decor, warm welcome and great service. I have to mention the fluffy white towels and crisp white sheets too! Can't wait to come back again!

We love Coul House and Stuart, Susannah and all the staff are always so attentive and friendly. My wife and I have stayed there many times over the past 15 years and we are excited to be returning for another weekend break soon.Rooms: In the 20 years that Stuart and Susannah have been at Coul House they have refurbished the whole building and the rooms are all beautiful.Nearby activities: ?The hills are alive!?(& there lots to choose from). Also, look out for events at the nearby Strathpeffer Pavilion - it?s beautiful.Safety: The quiet rural location feels very safe.Walkability: The country location allows some lovely walks and the trek to Rogie Falls from the hotel is highly recommended.Food & drinks: Everything is delicious and beautifully presented.Noteworthy details: Wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

Love the afternoon tea here. It's not a set menu, you just order what you want. Everything is lovely, but the warm scones deserve a special mention. How lovely to relax by the fire and with your dog too! Always such a warm welcome too.

Hidden away in an idyllic location this Historic Victorian Mansion has been sympathetically updated. It has a specific market in mind and succeeds in achieving it. Everything hits the mark but beware . It comes at a price . Hold on to your wallet and resist the tempting selection of rare whiskies at hand. Highland hospitality and location at its best.Nearby activities: Strathpeffer Dingwall Black Isle and West Coast access excellent. Plenty walks trails at Contin forest and fishing nearby. Rogie Falls Torrachility Loch all within walking distance. Great area for cyclists

A stay with the highest dedication to hospitality. The food is filling and tasty, and served in either the most fetching of fancy?yet comfortable?environments in their main, high vaulted room, or the most welcoming and cozy fire-warmed bar north of Hadrian?s Wall.Dog?s are not just welcomed at this stay, but practically encouraged, with them offering heated water hoses and expansive green fields for your pup?s every need. Not only will we be returning, but staying there might just be the purpose of the whole trip.
