We had such a great time at the Heron Farm Shop - the staff we're super friendly and the space is such a great day out. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Really cool place and my bacon brie and cranberry toastie was excellent. The only improvement would have been a more even toasting as some of the brie had not melted.

The farm shop is excellent for curries, better than a lot of takeouts and affordable. The cafe is too expensive for more than an occasional visit unfortunately and service is dependent on staff, some are much nicer and friendlier than others. Absolutely beautiful setting and dogs welcome. Loads of parking so never a problem. Fine if passing as a one off, would support more often if prices were slightly lower.

Tad expensive. £3.25 for a Tea. Asked if we had a loyalty card which we didn't I then had to ask if we could get one. They apparently didn't have any but told to keep receipt for next time? Watch like hawks if you take xtra sugar salt pepper satchets etc. Don't give xtra napkins either. And over vigilant taking away dishes. Food was nice enough. Do not take cash just card. But was warm and clean.

Wheelchair accessibility: Only two designated disabled parking bays both of which are excellent flat concrete with a concreted path to the main entrance. Otherwise you are faced with a roughish uphill unmarked car park.

Came to Heron farmshop after being told about their dog run free fields and was excited to come in for some lunch and also try the dog menu.
I found the staff very difficult and rude. Even when trying to pay for the field (which you have to do in the shop) a staff member snarled at my mum saying she couldn?t bring the dog to the shop even though I was standing outside with him. If you were coming alone with your dog paying may prove to be difficult.
Food was average but over priced. £12 for a toastie is a bit ridiculous especially given how little filling was in it (see photo). Lentil soup was also quite tasteless. We live in the west end of Glasgow so we are use to inflated price and eat out a lot. Also took a considerable amount of time.
The dog menu was nice however was told by a member of staff that the dog couldn?t have water in the premise and I could go use a bowl outside. If they?re providing food, especially dry kibble, there should be access to water. Feels more dogs tolerated than dogs welcomed.
I would be back for the dog field but would skip on lunch.

Seating and serving system a little over complicated. Get let to a table take a seat, get back up to order at counter while deciding we hear another staff taking folk to our table ? While eating at a table for two in the center row, staff join two four person tables together, effectively adding us to make up a table of ten ! Awkward.
