Very slow service went in for breakfast was only 1 other person in the cafe and they hadn't ordered, ordered 2 lots of pancakes and a bowl of porridge with fruit and honey, waited nearly 30mins for food to arrive, was given a fork! To eat the porridge with, which was like warm at best and very gloopy, pancakes where over cooked and hard in places, but what really let's the place down is the hugely inflated prices, £9 for the pancakes, I can get the same in other local cafes for around £5/6 over £30 for not alot don't think I will hurry back

I?m afraid I?ll be going somewhere else next time I?m in Strathaven. Server was sweet and very apologetic but cake had mould on the base, and this was on view! Flat white was like a small cappuccino too; too much froth!

WON?T BE BACK! Went in for a take away coffee & cake! The cakes that i purchased were completely stale took one bite and walked straight back in to return and complain, manger couldn?t have cared less she proceeded to try the cake herself and said that the cake ?wasn?t stale? LOL . Was offered a replacement cake slice I declined as I didn?t want another cake after eating something so disgusting. Was told it was a cake slice or nothing hopefully the money they kept and refused to refund they will purchase some cling film with! As for the coffee it tasted like dishwater another waste of money! The cafe itself looked untidy and there were lots of dirty dishes piled up at the counter! Should have been a red flag in the first place extremely bad customer service wouldn?t waste your time!

Went to the tearoom yesterday with 2 friends. Order food & had to wait an hour for it. And then only 2 meals came out it was stone cold. Called the young girl over & told her. She was lovely. She said they were short of staff. Which is fair effect, but have someone come over to tell us sooner. People came in after us & got served before us. Unacceptable. My friend had a diet in bru £2-75. No chance would I put my foot through that door again. And would not recommend to anyone.

Went for brunch today, can?t fault it. Had the BLT and chocolate cake. Friendly warm staff and food/drinks were excellent. Highly recommend, I?ll definitely be back soon.

DON'T GO NEAR IT. We visited this cafe 13/2/25. Extortionate prices for the type of food you get. We got a roll and sausage, a roll and egg/potato scone, a cup of tea and two small coffees....£16.65. Basic snack bar food. Basic tables and seating. People in with their dogs and letting their dogs up on the bench seating. We'll never be back.

My wife and I, along with our 90 year old 'birthday girl' thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea yesterday. The highlight was when you made a 'birthday cake' for her, and she was really touched by this thoughtful gesture. I am pretty confident, we will be back. Thanks once again.

Our first time travelling to Strathaven Town today 10 th June. We wanted to find out what Strathaven Town is like? It's a small town but very pleasant and clean town.
We were looking for a place to eat and we walked pass Strathaven tea room. Before we went in had a peep through the window. The place look nice and clean so decided to go inside to have a look at their menu. The young lady was pleasant and friendly. She gave us few minutes to look at the menu. Time to place the order. I ordered breaded fish and chips and my friend ordered macaroni and chips and tea. Whilst we were waiting for our meals. I decided to googled the reviews. Oh dear three out of three left one star on tea room reviews. We were like oh god.... Was it really that bad? Well I can tell you we really enjoyed our meals and didn't have a bad experience in the tea room at all.
Anyway, we waited for between fifteen to twenty minutes for our meals and tea to arrived. We were very happy with the meals. Freshly cooked and piping hot too. I am very happy with my fish and chips there was not a bit of grease on the fish and chips at all. My friend enjoyed hers too. Well done chef and thank you.
We would definitely come back here again if we travel to Strathaven Town.
