Fantastic, wonderful location, only stayed one night, food was excellent and the owners and their staff were superb. Port Patrick is not the biggest of coastal villages, but would be very picturesque in the summer I'm sure. Highly recommended in all ways.

Absolutely stunning location, the Crown is a beautiful cosy place with open fireplace, the staff were very friendly a great pint and the food was delicious ?.

Stunning location with demanding views. Friendly pub and atmosphere who are dog friendly. Didn't eat but what came out looked good. Got a proper pot of tea with two tea bags! Good selection of ales.

Stopped in for lunch on two consecutive stormy days. The open fire made the bar/lounge cozy. Good menu for all palettes and appetites. Can recommend the homemade soup.

Visiting Port Patrick again today we thought we would try a new place to eat. We normally eat at the same place here but today with chose the Crown Hotel.When you walk into the crown you see how old it is and I must admit it looks quant but a little dated.After finding a seat and deciding what to eat I went to the bar to order food and drinks.The service from the member of staff were pleasant and welcoming.We ordered 2 cokes and 2 stake and ale in a pudding one with chips and one with baby potatoes.We were charged a few pence short of £39 and given 2 cans of coke and asked would we like a glass with them? (£4.80 for 2 cans of coke)Going back to the table I sat down and within less than 5 minutes our food was there on our table. I always worry when the food is so quick as I never feel it properly prepared fresh for you and when you are paying £17 a meal you at least want something fresh-ish.WHAT REALLY ANNOYED ME was while we were eating our food people were bringing dogs into the bar past our table to talk to a guy sat next to us. Chatting away these dogs were just sat by our feet as we ate. No one seemed to care about these dogs brushing up against people eating a meal.The foodThe baby potatoes were ok, the pudding was a frozen one you would get from a supermarket, the veg was hard, the meat was dry and bland and the gravy tasteless.I would say this food was a preprepared meal and just placed into a microwave.I don?t like to be so blunt in my reviews as this is always someone?s business and livelihood was are talking about, but this really was that bad.The service during the meal was none existent.When the waitress came to take our plates she did not seem surprised when I complained about our food, saying only I?ll pass it on. No apologies or anything. Even with me saying the food was especially the veg was disgusting. It was like water off a ducks back.Will I eat here again NO sadly the service and the food was very poor.

Had a fantastic three night stay at The Crown. The staff and service we received were 5 stars and can't be faulted. The food was very good. The room could do with a lick of paint, but was still a good room with a great view. Would I stay there again...... yes, definitely.
