I must eliminate the exceptional experience primarily owing to the remarkable sales advisor Lauren!! Her expertise and knowledge were outstanding. She was friendly and not in the least the pushy sales person I have encountered previously on some stores thus serving as the catalyst for my decision to purchase at the store. Her warmth and pleasant manner created an atmosphere that transcended the typical retail encounter making my journey to SCS sofas stirling not just a transaction, but a delightful and memorial experience.

Very inflexible on delivery. Had to make contact numerous times. Promised responses did not come. In the end arranging my own courier at additional cost to have good delivered.

This place has a great selection however every time I've visited it's been the same awful experience. The sales people are pushy and insistant. They always try to upsell you, they talk down their competitors and they interrupt your browsing experience even when you've told them you'd like to browse alone.Between my last few visits I had five store employees walk up to me and repeat the same information. When I told them I was pretty set on a sofa I found in another store and was simply taking a final look they insisted I give them the name of the sofa I liked. I did and all five began frantically looking it up so that they could sell me their most similar offering and then they wouldn't leave me alone and followed me around the store insisting I give them my contact info. During a previous visit before that I had a female employee insist aggressively that I put money down on a sofa that I hadn't decided on yet. When I told her I wanted to measure to confirm I had enough room she insisted I complete the purchase anyway then and that we could change it later. When I told her I would feel better getting proper size measurements and coming back she made me promise I'd come back later today and complete the sale. I can't imagine what effect this sales tactic would have on vulnerable people. It's quite easy to feel threatened under these circumstances.This is in stark contract to stores like oak furniture land which made me feel welcome and didn't harass me but we're also still helpful and informative when needed. My understanding is ScS opperate on a individual commission basis where as Oak Furniture Land has a shared target for the store meaning there's no fear of losing out on an individual sale. Overall if you're in the area, I'd hit up oak furniture land first.

Ordered a couch and waited around six months for it to be made from new, did not receive a single update until a week before it was due to be delivered. The day they had put for delivery did not suit us at all as we were having work done in the house and they said they would not change the date - for a CUSTOMER. Shocking customer care and we won?t use them again

Helped my friend source new sofas and she decided to go with SCS ?..a leather one, very comfortable and stylish ?..eventually was delivered by Rab and Stuart who were great guys and got the new sofa?s assembled and in position without any fuss

Furniture received broken, currently await ScS to rectify this. At current time it has been three weeks of raising this issue on the day it was recieved with no progress. The lack of quality control for furniture that took 12 weeks to arrive is disappointing.

Went to buy a new sofa with a friend and we both ended up buying. Adam who dealt with us was courteous and professional - nothing was too much trouble and put up with our endless changes of minds and daft questions ?. No hard sell just great customer service.

York suite is now the Montrose; it's £100.00p more expensive and only £25.00 was offered as discount on a 2 and 3 seater settee when purchased together. No discount would be given for a cash sale. Rather expensive and unhelpful.

First time visiting this shop. Looking for a new settee for my sister. I have never seen such a collection of ugly sofas! Big, clumpy, lacking in imaginative design. Pretty awful.
