Very nice staff, a bit expensive

It?s the staff that makes the pharmacy wonderful. I couldn?t find the pharmacy and was walking round in circles... called Claire up and she was so very kind. Took so much time out from her busy day and directed me to the pharmacy. They even waved out the window to show me where they were. All the staff including the pharmacist who gave us the flu jab and the young pharmacist were wonderfully attentive and kind. It?s so refreshing to see such great customer service. Thank you to all who were there today and God bless you. You are splendid!

One of the few genuinely independent pharmacies left, with two very experienced pharmacists who you can develop a relationship with in the way you can with your doctor, and in the way it always was before big business chains took over pharmacies in the UK. I'd recommend here if; (a) you'd rather support local business, (b) you're looking for advice on medicines or conditions - that the pharmacists are happy to give you in a quiet side room for free, (c) if you have an ongoing problem which would benefit from another professional knowing you as well as your doctor, and (d) if you need vaccinations or medication for travel to other countries - these have a full travel clinic and are highly ethical about telling you the financial costs of each option and the reality of how much at risk you are so that you can make the decision of what to go for, rather than receive the normal sales pitch that you get in most other travel clinics.

From my time at university, the staff here were really, really nice. Sometimes medical things can be a little overwhelming, especially being away from home for the first time, but staff here understand the needs of an on-campus pharmacy and are so helpful and patient. They've got some nice little toiletry and cosmetic ranges, but unfortunately they are a little more expensive here than on the high street. Great for an urgent purchase but not so much a full shop. If I had a prescription from the doctor during my four years of uni, I would look forward to coming to the pharmacy because they were really pleasant. Now that I don't have a regular pharmacy that I use, I do miss that familiarity. Now I've got to find one with staff as lovely as Right Medicine's!
