One of my favourite go to pubs in Scotland. It?s a long way to get there from Canada but I always make sure to plan at least one night here every time I cross the pond. Without fail I always meet the most interesting and friendly people here and leave with lasting memories

Popped in last night. Staff were excellent, a lively pub with a great range of drinks and a proper old feel. The live music by Jodie Differ was fabulous and really made the night.

Stopped on our way to Stirling Castle. Lovely service, haggis was excellent, as was the pea soup. Service was excellent

Stopped by as the pub was on real ale finder with our group up for a judo competition. Nice quirky inside , not huge space, but spread.out, friendly staff, good prices, haggis and mash and neeps was very flavoursome. Didn't try the whiskeys but large range, beers were varied and nice. Friendly welcome, even for Londoners...

We came here for an evening meal and a couple of drinks! Loved the atmosphere here and the love the dogs were getting! Will be back when ever in Stirling for food, drinks and dog petting

Pub with a typical atmosphere in the center of Stirling, a few steps from the castle.
Friendly and welcoming staff, very slow service.
Not particularly varied menu, with products that are not excellent but of good quality, suitable for the type of restaurant.
Average prices.
I don't know if I would choose it again, simply because there are many similar places in the area and this one is nothing exceptional. However, it is a valid alternative, especially if you were "late" for lunch and in many places the kitchen is closed.

Had a booking here for a meal as part of a day tour from our cruise ship- we ended up being in quite a hurry but the staff at Nicky Tams understood and graciously took great care of us. We wish we?d had more time to enjoy it! Halloumi burger was delicious!
