We stopped in for dinner, and were NOT disappointed! My scotch egg was wonderful, they use a really nice sausage and the spicy tomato jam it?s served with has the right combination of sweetness and kick. The cullen skink (which I did for a main) was delicious - absolutely packed with flavour - and it came with a San Francisco-worthy sourdough. As for dessert, the banoffee waffle was outstanding. The banana was cooked perfectly, which isn?t easy, and tablet ice cream was a much more interesting choice than vanilla would have been. And it?s an easy walk from downtown and very attractive inside.

Health concern. Room had a musty smell. Visible damp on ceiling and very obvious signs of leakage that had probably been plastered over and then more leakage stains again, pretty good chance mould inside the plaster. Shower room had black mould in few areas. The grout between shower tiles was plenty black and the door frame at either side had black mould. No idea how a hotel can allow that to happen.
My partner has mild asthma and could feel her chest tighter through the night. I have allergies to airborne dust and mould and woke up sniffling and sneezing with a dry throat and cough.
I don't know if health and safety donretouine checks on hotels or how often but I'm shocked that they allow people to stay in this room.

We came for dinner on a Monday night. It was essentially the worst meal we had in Scotland. The duck entree consisted of two overcooked slices of breast. If it was a third of the entire breast I'd be surprised. The venison was tough and overdone. I eat both these meats regularly and cook them as well. These were two of the worst preparations I have ever encountered. We didn't have other options, so we choked it down and left. Service was good. The two ladies working there were very nice. The whisky choices are good as well. Just skip the food and go to the bar.

We went for food. It was a nice atmosphere with nice staff. The food took a while and was over seasoned and very overcooked. The whole meal was returned and we didn't accept replacements. This was only my second visit as the first visit was exactly the same. I thought i would give it one last chance, I will, however, never return.

Had afternoon tea booked for a wee birthday celebration for 4 of us. 3 of us had afternoon tea.
What came was lovely cakes and scones, were delicious, the only thing there was one small jar of jam and wee tub of cream between 3 people for say 6 scones. We did ask for more jam and was given what was like for breakfast jam, it was fine but thought having paid £60 for 3 people there would have been 3 jams and 3 creams, and butter .. there was no butter at all.
There was no pot of tea but perhaps that was my error I just expected afternoon to come with tea.
Service was lovely beautiful place too, would definitely return just not for afternoon tea.

The restaurant is very nice, also from the outside. they have free parking if you register your plate at the reception.
the service is very good and efficient and the food tasty with a big menu with many many choices.
we tried the Cullen skink, the scotch egg, the chicken Balmoral and the beef spade.
All them perfect, good size portions and the prices are not too high.
we spend £35 per person for starter, main and a drink.
they also have a great kid menu, where we tried the fish and chips an it was good

Came here with the extended family - all 6 of us - after reading a lot of good reviews and noticing the restaurant won the 2023 and 2025 ?best restaurant in Stirling? prize.
Arrived at 18:15 but we had to wait until 19:30 to get some food: I appreciate the restaurant was busy, but still.
Children had a pizza each, which was ok. The only person really satisfied with the food was my wife (who ordered venison). My burger was unfortunately below expectations. The parents-in-law both ordered the sirloin, which was kind of ok, but not particularly remarkable - I.e., average at best.
Prices were ok - at least for Danish standards I?m used to. Nice touch: small drinks for children were free.
Staff is very helpful, friendly and most accommodating.

Fantastic and delicious stay in a great location. I have been to Scotland three times on roadtrips and each time have chosen to stay at Fletcher's due to its continued excellence. Parking is easy, rooms are modern and clean, and the location is a short walk or drive from all major attractions in Stirling and the surrounding area. The food was also top notch and likely the best breakfast in Stirling.
Fraser at the restaurant and front desk was fantastic and he helped answer all questions our group had and also provided great recommendations for hikes and activities. Thank you so much for helping make Stirling unforgettable, Fraser!
