The soft play is a really good little area, especially for under 5s, but it's slightly annoying that it can't be booked online on the day you wish to visit.

Great store, friendly staff and plenty to see in the shopping area. Good food in the restaurant too.

Really good garden centre, complete with cafe/restaurant serving lunches, teas and coffee, cakes and scones.

Just popped into the Cotton Traders outlet and the Lakeland outlet. Wasn't very busy, but it was 4.30pm on the 2nd of January. Bought some of the sale clothing from Cotton Traders, then nipped into Lakeland, got what I needed, and then left. I think we were there for a whole half an hour.

Have eaten in Dobbies on a few occasions, every time duped into thinking it must be good judging by the volume of people eating there, boy were we wrong, firstly I wouldn't bother getting anything hot as it will be cold by the time you join various queue's, the staff are nice but work very slowly, our food was 2 toasties that had been pre-made and heated as required, both toasties mushy and tasteless, I had salad with mine, withered and dry, my wife had chips as she had noticed how bad my salad was, chips were worst I have ever tasted, will not be eating there again, if I pay a premium for food, I at least expect it to be edible.

Cafe had run out of tomatoes, ham, brie, jacket potatoes. Left little choice and service took so long for food and drinks, by the time you stood in another queue to pay everything was cold

Cafe is dreadful! No menus until you?re being barked at for your order, absolutely zero cross contamination precautions taken with meat being dropped on the vegetables and the same spoon being used for scooping and spreading onto both bread and potatoes. They were out of half the things we wanted (basics, like ham and tomatoes for a sandwich). And the food we did get was barely edible (except the soup). The ambiance is reminiscent of a school cafeteria but more chaotic and with less home-cooking.The garden centre itself looks tired. It?s very expensive; you can see why people are switching to online options.

Café has very poor quality food, long waiting times and is not value for money. Some plants look beyond dead and unhealthy. Clothing sections in-store look great, tidy and offer value for money, I bought a Regatta jacket and shirt. Fish section was beautiful and amazing. If café was improved, the place would be a lot a better and worth at least 4 stars.

Cold food, the scone, soup and coffee were all tasteless. I'm a healthcare worker and was on a break looking for something in between shifts and could barely touch it. Paid £15 for such horrible food. Dobbies standards have been dropping for a while but this is by far the worst food I've had.

We went to Dobbies for lunch and for the kids to go to soft play on 2nd Jan. Waited in the first queue at the cafe, ordered some toasties for the adults. Didn?t know that to order a kids meal was the next queue along. Got the toasties, waited in next queue to order chicken nuggets. Then a third queue to order tea, and a fourth queue to pay. By the time we sat down, the toasties were cold and we had to ask for fresh ones. Had to clear a table for ourselves as none of the tables had been cleared by staff. No napkins available and no teaspoons. Queued a fifth time to pay for soft play as we had booked a slot for after our lunch. Soft play floor was filthy. Food all over the place. Went to get a coffee and cake while kids played and between the queues for cake and then coffee, it took half an hour to get back to the soft play. All round shocking experience. Not enough staff and no system in place at all for ordering food and drinks. A complete shambles. Will never come back.

Only giving four stars for the range of winter bedding plants. Toilets are a disgrace, broken driers, rusty heater, no toilet paper in three of the ladies toilets, shameful.

My review is for the Santa?s grotto. It is absolutely magical, and the best Santa I?ve seen in years. He is so good with the kids, we have went the past 2 years and I recommend it to all of my friends with kids. I really hope he sticks around for the next few years? wonderful

Restaurant is an absolute joke!So was taking a friend for a thank you lunch. She ordered lasagne, she couldn?t finish it as she said it was rotten. The garlic bread was stone cold. The chips weren?t great either. So we thought we?d get a meringue. Gone are the lovely fresh chewy meringues. Instead it was brick hard meringue nests sandwiched together with cream. It also took forever to get served. Never again.

I was a customer today at around 12.45. We expected the queue to be long as tables cannot be booked but serious questions need to be asked about the attitude of the tea/ coffee servers who come at the end of the service counter. Despite leaving our order for tea and coffee until we had eaten our meal and finding only 5 people to be served, it took 15 minutes before I got our coffees. The two staff behind the counter showed no sense of urgency or even interest in the customers. They had two speeds: dead slow and stop. By the time I was served the queue had grown to the whole length of the serving counter. Dobbies, you need to sort this. It?s not good enough.
