Recently bought 2 bedside tables and collected from store. Upon collection, one of the boxes was ripped at the side. I pointed this out to the member of staff as I didn't want to take home anything if it was damaged and the colleague told me there is padding in the packaging and that it should be fine. I took the bedside tables home, built them only to find damaged paneling on both tops of the drawers. See below pictures of the scuffed tops. I went through argos support to arrange some form of resolution and was told as I collected them in store there is no option for partial refund for cosmetic damage(only available to customers who get items delivered). I asked for an exchange or return for a refund and was told I would need to disassemble the drawers and return them in full packaging to store for them to be inspected for damage, where I'd need to wait 3-5 days for an outcome on decision for exchange or refund.For many customers who cannot drive, or are elderly or vulnerable. They need help in collecting items like these and would need help taking it all apart and back.Fact of the matter is - many items I've seen in reviews and I've experienced are clearly getting chucked about warehouses and during logistic supply chain. If there's damage to packaging or items it should be getting inspected BEFORE being sold to customers not only offered after they've raised an issueNo customer service. No help from staff in this branch. Brand new, bought items which are damagedI wouldn't reccomend buying furniture from argos as its poor quality and highly likely to be damaged. Either that make sure you cover yourself and get it delivered. Do not collect furniture.I tried submitting this review 3x on argos website after being invited to share my thoughts on the item and it was rejected for supposedly going against guidelines - "Personal information: protect your identity, Prices, offers or links: which are subject to change, Mentions of other companies or websites, Other inappropriate or unhelpful content". I believe my review above did not go against any of those things so I'm posting the review here as clearly argos only want things that make it look good.

We bought our kid a bike from this store during the pandemic. Due to confusion regarding 1 way system I was confronted by a very angry member of staff. (Red haired lad). He jumped over the counter and came rushing towards me in a angry authoritarian manner. I will never use this store again and we have spent thousands over the years. He is lucky I was with my partner and child or I would be in the jail for GBH. Starting on a Army veteran is never a good idea!!!!! You need to retrain your staff on customer interaction before you have a serious incident in your store with this staff member.

Tried to get replacement for faulty electrical hair curler.Never have I ever met a more aggressive and unhelpful store assistant in all my life.Completely unwilling to help in any way.I see now why online sales are soaring and the high street is failing.One star is over generous zero star will not post !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will never be in this store again got a TV Saturday it was not what was advertised and went to bring it back Sunday got 2 very abrupt ladies and was told that I could not put it back because it was out of the box and is then second hand so I have a TV that is. No good to me

Excellent customer service. I bought a patio set at the end of March that broke after two weeks of use. As we were in the middle of the pandemic they did not take returns, so I spoke with Argos customer service online. That was a really awful experience, the online chat lady literally said that they broke for normal use and basically blame me for that. Then I went to the shop and a lovely lady ( I think her name was Louise) told me not to worry, she apologied several times for the online service (which was not her fault) and she wrote a note to do a return as soon as they could do it because of the covid19.Last Friday May the 22nd, I went to do my shopping in Sainsbury's and took the set back for returning, as I knew they were taking them now. The staff were helpful, polite and very professional they sorted this out and said sorry for the online customer service. Thank you very much and hope that Argos Sainsbury's takes care of these members of staff as they are gold.

Did click n collect and then when arrived at store! struggle to get into the caroark because of mcdonalds! then very unhelpful staff! Beware you have to queue for the supermarket to be allowed in! No seperate queue so expect 15min wait in the rain at busier times! a very poor rrplacement for the store in the town centre

rudiculous behaviour by customer service! arogant unhelpfull looking like youre annoy them by your presence..but the most rudiculous thing ive ever heard was..when after almost two weeks of ordering still didnt get text about collection..the only thing i got from them was " is not here! but you have to collect it by tonight otherwise is going to get send back"! eh? i cancell it and order it from Amazon

Went in to store last night purchased the items I wanted was told to go to collection point i waited till my order no was ready I then went to collection point and waited and waited and waited 3 members of staff on 1 through the side door looking at games ,1 talking to her friend and then I had Jamie the one I asked how long my goods be to be told we are really busy there was only myself and 1 other customer. 10 minutes before this he was trying to rebox a foot pump. Jamie's customer service is shocking I told him to keep the goods and to give me a refund he then decided to go through the back half way through the refund I'm sure my cash was in the till no where through the back .I will never purchase anything else from this store which is a shame with argos current troubles .I have shopped with them never a problem before .Jamie could do with some customer service skills . God help you at xmas if this is the time you have to wait will not be back.

Home delivery is very slow. It is not worth the money to pay for the installation and removal of the old one. Pay 08.03.19 delivery 25.03.19 7-19 any time. And what is even more outrageous is that the dispatcher said that if I didn't like the time, I'd go back to argos and buy the purchase.
