Horrible, the site floods regularly, its not maintained or properly cleaned. Showers and family bathroom not cleaned all wkend. Faculties outdated and tatty. Site is very overgrown, hedges and brambles need cutting back, dog walking areas & woods are really overgrown & neglected. Floor collapsed on a kid in the shower while we were there, despite complaints on Google going back years about the rotting, sinking floor!! Poorly lit grounds, litter and services often not working, no staff to be found. Dog attacks a regularity due to dogs constantly roaming off lead. A dog got hit by a car on the main road due to poor maintained perimeter fencing. Swimming pool is gross & kids Faculties are embarrassing. The cafe is lovely but the kids that work there in the summer often underage drinking on site. Not a place I'd bring my kids again, save your money. Plenty of nicer family friendly places. Owner doesn't care, place is up for sale & apparently no longer cares. Very strange little man!Nearby activities: The surrounding area is stunning, plenty of places to walk dogs close by, waterfalls and woodland all around. Plenty of dog friendly places to eat in Newton stewart. Just avoid castle cary!

I took my van and dog here for a 5 day holiday in early October. The site is really nice. The pitch had a water tap a few paces away and the electric ticked away nicely all week. Toilets nearest the electric grass pitches were being refurbished but the main showers were lovely. Toilet, shower and sink all in a lockable cubical, so plenty of room. The push button showers were a bit annoying because they only stayed on for 10 seconds before they went off but the showers were nice and hot and looked newly done. The staff were really nice and welcoming in reception, the cafe and the lairds inn. The food served was tasty all with with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Bar staff/food servers were also very friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome too and they even offered doggy snacks at the bar ?Nearby activities: Lots of walks around lochs, fields, Castles, foot paths everywhere. Nice fishing town nearby called Kirkcudbright, with gift shops, antiques shops, cafes, Castles, churches, a museum and harbor ?

Love this site. We have been now a few times and never had any issues. Handy to visit loads of places of interest. Will definitely be back. Clean toilets. Good kids play park. Grounds well kept. Nice wee cafe and swimming pool outdoors and indoors.

Stayed here a few times now always been amazing. Site it's self has beautiful surroundings and is flat. Toilet and shower block are always well equipped and clean. Food is mouthwatering at the bar restaurant and the little cafe at the amusements is also good quality. We have stayed here both with the kids and without there is lots to do for the kids good park, feed the donkeys amusement and indoor and outdoor swimming pool as well as crazy golf. The staff and the residents especially Neil and Ian were fantastic when we had a little misshap whith out moterhome they both went above and beyond to help.Excellent place highly recommended

This site is very noisy. It seems generally geared up for kids. Seriously don't bother if you want a relaxing, peaceful tour of Scotland. The toilets and showers are unisex which is quite bizarre when children use them (although they're meant to be accompanied, but didn't seem to be). Most pitches are open with little greenery backing onto statics with lots of barking dogs. Flat site with a pub nearby and shop. It's a shame as it's a gorgeous setting and they're missing a whole captive audience like other sites offer. Glad we're only here for one night.

Poor staff at reception is not very helpful .Last day on my stay there - they make me refund. Now, after 3 weeks, I still don't get my money- phone to them many times .( they said :We phone you back but never did). Disappointed .About location close to my road - very noisy.Only what was good it was food and stuff at Cafe- bar next to the game room.

Nice clean friendly workers. Pool good but indoor one is sooooo cold .Not a place to go if your looking for any entertainmentFood & drinks: Cafe nice for meals etc but nowhere to have a quiet drink although the castle is available for meals drinks etc it is not associated with the park.
