Went for the first time in years for a meal. We normally go for an Indian or a Chinese when we go out but fancied proper pub grub and it definitely didn't disappoint. Absolutely everything that we had was first class and well priced with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon.

Stopped off here on the train to get a spot of late lunch. However it was shut despite saying it's open both on Google and Facebook. Annoying as it wasted about 30 minutes of our time walking there and back from the station!

We had a wedding dinner here some 31 year ago , was great to be back . Food was lovely , service too . Wasn't busy enough for a lively , vibrant atmosphere. Still great though

A bit overpriced , I thought , for what you get on their smallish dinner plates . Chips are nice , but food had no presentation . Also , pub was really cold . Sorry to say , I have had nicer meals in other places locally , and not as dear.

Pub alone is nice and woman on bar helpful. Asked to pop in for a drink with kids and was told yes. Then to be told we would have to order food ( which i think the chef said).
