Fine gothic building with a somber atmosphere. Usually busy and closed because of weddings and events. But sometimes you can get lucky and enjoy a quiet private moment in this beautiful setting.

It is one of two chapels belonging to St. Andrews University. Founded in 1450, it was rebuilt in late Gothic style, renovated in the 1680s, 1860s and later in the 20th century. The Chapel serves a religious service, but also functions as an auditorium, where graduation ceremonies are held.It is very beautiful, it has beautiful stained glass windows and the organ is spectacular.Highly recommended.

Immaculate, important site of the earliest St Andrews University college. St Salvator ( pronounced "Sullvaytor") is the Saviour, Jesus Christ.1450, founder Bishop Kennedy, lies under a massive piece of basalt in a ruinous but splendid gothic tomb.
