Does the job
March 2025 by Hey what's up
The room is really nice, just like other Premier Inns. There's free parking available, which is a plus. It's conveniently located next to M&S and across from Aldi, which is great.
However, I did notice some hairs in the bathroom, which was a bit off-putting. Also, the mattress topper had a few stains that weren't very appealing.
Overall, I slept well and got to the St Andrews shopping centre without any trouble.

Excellent hotel. Nice cooked breakfast. Pleasant efficient staff. Great for access to St Andrews golf course.

Stayed for 3 nights for work. Decent hotel, small, not brand new but not ancient, nice staff, nice brekkie. It's a little bit out of town, but St Andrews is small. I could hear the person in the room upstairs walking around, but not a massive issue. Thanks for the stay!

Probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed at.
The staff were actually pretty good, but there obviously wasn't enough of them...two staff for the whole hotel. One on reception and another in the restaurant, cooking (though not a chef) and serving etc.....there were 4 other guests in the restaurant when we were there and after waiting at our table for 20 mins for our order to be taken we gave up and got a takeaway instead.
The room itself was tired and run down, but could have overlooked this if it weren't for how uncomfortable the bed was. The mattress was like a slab of concrete.
We asked if there were other rooms available but there was nothing, also asked if they had mattress toppers but again they didn't. They did give us a couple of extra duvets to use as a topper but they made no difference.
We did put a claim in on the good night sleep guarantee, but this was declined as they say this hotel has had the new mattresses fitted!!!!!
Can only suggest they look into getting some alternative mattresses

Nice place to stay in St Andrews. Good location, only a 5 minute drive to the centre. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Very unhappy with our room. The reviews are very misleading for this hotel. With no AC and you can not open the window the air is very stale and hot. We found it very dirty with dust and blood on our bathroom wall. The staff are very friendly and it is within walking distance to the city center.

Very dirty room. A/C not working so room very uncomfortable. Hotel seems very run down. Staff don't seem bothered. We slept in our clothes as bed sheets were very dirty (blood stains on pillow case). Horrible stains on carpet. Overall disgusting.

Stayed here over the weekend, 12 of us on a golf trip. I must say that the staff were helpful and cheerful, every one of them. But special thanks to Julie for going over, above and beyond in terms of service. One of our group sprained an ankle which needed icing. Julie brought in a basin from her house to help facilitate which was so very kind and made a huge difference. We will definitely be back.
Walkability: 20 minute walk into town, straight road in.

Definitely a cut above your average Premier inn. Spacious rooms, quiet, excellent service and a really delicious breakfast to boot.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights in July. Its as you would expect a Premier Inn to be. Clean, efficient, with helpful staff. It is about a 15 minute walk into St Andrews, or a £6 Taxi ride (If its raining). The Hotel has a big free car park, which it shares with M&S. Many hotels in St Andrews have on road parking only. On Balance its a good hotel, if you don't mind the short walk into the Centre of the town. Breakfast and a small selection of Meals are available in the hotel.

We slept here. there was a roof, walls, and two beds! the window didn?t open but not to fear, the fresh air was? filtered throughout the room. hmm. next time i?d like the fine employees of the premier inn to give us some shampoo! a highlight of the room was the connecting room door which didn?t open. we were hoping to make some new friends, but were immediately disappointed by its locked status. we are grateful to premier inn for housing us but would not stay there ever again!

Usual Premier Inn standard. Friendly staff.
Didn?t have towels for 2 in the room but staff sorted.
Biggest issue is the Wi-Fi - absolutely pathetic which as others have stated is probably just a con to make you buy the enhanced Wi-Fi package. When paying £200+ a night for a ?premium room? this is a bit low rent/ bad practice
