Over many years, we have found Little Italy, food, service and atmosphere to be super. Being a lifetime hotelier, I understand costs, overheads and pricing strategy. Every operator has to make their own decisions about pricing but I am aware of many locals who used to visit Little Italy more frequently but have found simple house wines at £30 -£35 just too much. St Andrews is now a very expensive destination and hotel prices are eye watering. Good luck to the owners of Little Italy. We will be back and we appreciate the overall package. ?

nice place. but food not so good. Microwaved pasta that tasted like a Tesco meal. Swimming in a thick sauce.

Excellent across all fronts. Waiter was a very friendly young black man with a very pleasant energy about him. Really did his job well serving us. I hope you can let him know that he did a good job. The food was also very good and thankfully after searching for a half decent Italian I have found one.
On the higher end of price. However, understandable for St Andrews and the rates that need paid. I would definitely return.
Yummy food, good service, nice wine and good decor and atmosphere. All in all. I am very pleased to have come and to have brought my girl on a date here.

We've been to Little Italy before a few times for an evening meal. This was the first time for lunch. We were able to get a table without a reservation. Food was nice, slightly expensive as it was an a la cart menu. The pesto is a highlight. Really good service from our waiter.

Kid-friendliness: Took a 12 year old and a fourteen year old for a special treat. Very helpful waiter helped them make their choices. They declared their meals to be "Delicious".

Never had such a bad dining experience. When we phoned up to book we asked if there was a gluten free menu and they said yes so we went along.
On arrival the foreign lady said there wasn?t a gluten free menu but maybe I could have a bit of steak or something! I explained I had coeliac disease so even the tiniest amount of gluten would have terrible consequences but she just stared blankly at me. I politely asked if there was anyone else there that knew about these things and she begrudgingly got another waitress who told me they could make anything gluten free. I asked how that could be done with things that have gluten in them. She said not to worry.
Anyway I ordered my starter and main course and she confirmed they?d be marked to be made gluten free. I also chose options that shouldn?t have any gluten. Unfortunately I was glutened and have been throwing up for the last 48 hours.
The staff need to be trained on coeliac disease. It?s not a gluten allergy or a gluten intolerance. It?s an autoimmune disease and so now my immune system will be attacking the lining of my intestines for the next 2 to 4 weeks until the immune response stops. Please educate them on cross contamination etc as I suspect a contaminated ladle was used etc.
It was a Friday night and hardly any staff were on so the poor waitresses were ran off their feet. Had to ask 4 times over a 30 minute period for drinks to come for example and a meal that would typically take us an hour took over 2 hours. It was a busy Friday night to be fair.
Food was very nice though I can say that but best avoid if you?re a coeliac.
Dietary restrictions: Avoid if a coeliac or gluten free.

Loved the food, service was excellent, music a wee bit too loud, meaning hard of hearing folks like me struggled, but really liked this place.

Love Little Italy. My wife and I resided in St Andrews for 20 months and we had a standing Friday night reservation here. Door always phenomenal and the staff and owners were very kind and always recognized and accommodated us. Reservations are a must if you are in St Andrews and want to experience this outstanding restaurant.

Staff were great, really friendly and engaging. The food was amazing, all 3 courses were sensational. The steak and veal might be the best dish I've ever eaten.
