Overpriced, unfriendly and badly stocked. And don't use the self service tills. Half the time they stop working when you've already scanned most of your shopping. Staff is super slow to help and often can't fix the problem.

As a self catering visitor to the area, I visited this store last week. I had read the reviews and debated whether to drive to Leven or St Andrews but was glad I hadn't. I found the shelves well stocked - they didn't have one thing I wanted but this is not always the fault of the store and they kindly took the trouble to double check for me. The rest of the shelves I looked at were well stocked with a good choice and not at unreasonable prices given the size and location of the store. Lidl has been mentioned and is cheap because they operate cheap policies in terms of goods and staff, whereas I believe the Co-op take the opposite stand - supporting the community and local suppliers. It was easy to park and I found the staff pleasant and helpful. You shouldn't knock people for doing what they do (and well), just because they don't conform to your particular preferences e.g. Lidl - especially when you have to drive 15 or more miles each way to get to a Lidl. Thats going to cost you 4 or 5 pounds I guess and is certainly not environmentally friendly - something we should all be thinking more about I believe.

Rude female staff at checkout more interested in talking to her husband. Said l was a rude man because l cut of her line of sight with her husband who had payed but she wanted to talk with him. I have never been called rude in 67 years of life. It's not the first time l have experienced or seen disgusting behavior by staff in this shop. Please avoid it. I have canceled my coop membership and will never buy here again. Don't shop here. I will be making a formal complaint to head office.
