Arrived on Saturday for dinner at 4.30pm....long queues at the bar with only 1 visible person serving so a long wait to be served.......plus they do not stock pink gin which is what I always drink so very disappointing.
Food was good portion sizes also good but not good enough to return unfortunately like the Commodore Inn in Helensburgh although same company they are miles apart and not just geographically.
Think the staff weren't as well trained either plus looked untidy and dishevelled. Not ideal for waiting staff plus not as knowledgeable or friendly
Also disabled toilet was in need of a good clean...door was dirty and toilet paper cluttering the floor
It's hard to imagine this is the same company as The Commodore ....

The place is super nice and comfy inside with lots of places to chill, but some of the staff weren't very friendly.
When we got there, no one greeted us, so we just grabbed a table, but this woman stopped us before we could even sit down, going on about whether we had a booking (and the place was empty!). When I said no, she made us go back to the desk and then sit back at the same table we had allready picked.
After that, we just got a starter and a drink and left to eat somewhere else.
I was annoyed because the place looked good, but I can't deal with bad service.

Was staying at the inn to pick up friends from a cruise in invergordon. This place was nice clean and convenient and staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the food in the outside seating. Tamhank you

Food was absolutely lovely and nice play by the bridge and water portion sizes were fab and the juice was big my only complaint was the service was very slow we had to get up a few times to order What we wanted which we shouldn?t have had to do so hopefully next time it will be better there was absolutely not enough staff so sort that out but the rest was spot on looking forward to returning in the near future

First class and friendly service from Claire. Super lovely and chatty. Very knowledgeable about the menu and offering reccomendations.
Food was delicious, atmosphete is really relaxed and friendly.
Would definitely recommend.

The vaulted storage areas maintain 11°C year-round through passive geothermal cooling. The whisky barrels show 19th-century coopers' marks from all major Scottish regions. The original dumbwaiter system could transport 12 bottles simultaneously between floors.

Been going to the Hawes Inn for 50 years. Always great service and food. Plus of course stunning location at the foot of the Forth Rail Bridge. Keep up the good work!
