The Peony Rose was where I first discovered their delightful ?old school cake,? along with a wonderfully zesty lemon and coconut slice that was both refreshing and indulgent. The team here are absolutely lovely, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from the moment you walk in. I was served by Emma, who could not have been sweeter. She was attentive, helpful, and unfailingly polite, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for delicious bakes and genuinely warm service.

Popped in on spec. What a little gem! Lovely clean and bright cafe with smart and pleasant staff. Hubby opted for all day breakfast and I had bacon and brie panini with cranberry. Forgot to take pictures as food looked so good we immediately tucked in. Recommend to all. First impressions definitely counted. Well done

Excellent find on our day trip to Selkirk. It is a really busy cafe but we were lucky to get a table. The lady serving us was so polite and professional. The food was excellent, as was the price, homemade soup, smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich with salad and crisps, homemade sponge cake and coffees all delicious. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Selkirk.

Fantastic food, great portion sizes and very tasty. The only thing better than the food was the staff! Very friendly and incredibly helpful. As a dairy allergy family, there was plenty of choice for us (both mains and pudding, and oat milk for tea), and the ladies were so helpful double checking with us what we could and couldn?t have, checking ingredients for us and happily answering any queries we had. Thank you so much

Many stars, one wish. Delicious scones, homemade cakes and tea? Extremely kind and friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Another plus is that they were, baby friendly (high chair provided). Warm and cosy atmosphere, run by lovely family. We arrived just after 3.30pm, knowing that the shop closes at 4.30pm. So the only reason I?m giving 4 stars is because when wanting to order soup of the day we were told that the kitchen is closed now and are only serving cakes and coffee after 3.30pm. It would have been helpful to know this in advance xx
