A big ?thank you? to the wonderful team at Selkirk Medical Practice. I experienced kindness, patience and excellent service from everyone I came into contact with, from the receptionist on the phone, the smiling receptionist/s on the front desk to the excellent Doctor.

Most experiences have been with very rude and unhelpful reception staff, too busy trying to guess/assume what your asking while talking over you rather than listen to what your actually saying. Of the 2 doctors seen so far in the small practice; generally unhelpful, incredibly uninformed and generally uncaring. Having to explain what I meant by a well recognised term for a disorder is ludicrous. To receive such a standard of healthcare after waiting such long lengths of time for much needed appointments, is disappointing and disheartening. Wishing I could have stayed with Galashiels practice instead; helpful, proper care and attention to what your needing from your appointment, informed as doctors should be and never blatantly rude (doctors or receptionists). Unfortunately have to stay within local town of residence. I'd say steer clear but unfortunately you don't have a choice if you reside in Selkirk unless you can afford private. Fantastic quality of healthcare received for taxes paid.
