we just loved this hotel so much, from the crazily comfortable beds (my best night's sleep on a long trip), to the amazing views out the window, to the delicious meals in their lovely dining room, served with good humor and attentiveness. We still giggle over how when our wonderful server brought out two of our entrees and said, "Here's your salmon!" and we said, "Sea trout?" (because that was what had been ordered from the menu), without missing a beat she said, "Uh, yeah, sea trout!" as she served what was unmistakably salmon. You can only admire that kind of pivoting and the salmon was delicious! Truly a gem of a place.

Doing the NC500 and was after a place to stay, came across this place, their clients are normally people up for the weekend for fly fishing as they have boats and tackle for hire but we were glad we booked. The rooms are lovely, cosy, clean and have some nice little touches like my partner was impressed with the make up remover pads and cotton wool. My only niggle was the shower pressure wasn't great but it worked not much they can do.They also had a Nespresso machine, hairdryer and radio as the room didn't have a TV because you'll find yourself sat Infront of the log fire with a drink from the bar talking to the other guests about your day.The menu at the restaurant changes daily but it was some of the finest cooking we've had in ages which that day icluded venison from the local estate and smoked haddock. The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine and champagne selection. The breakfast included quality ingredients cooked to perfection with the sweetness of the roasted vine tomatoes going well with the salty smoked bacon and quality sausage. All in all we had a lovely time and were served by lovely friendly people in the bar and restaurant would definitely stop again.Food & drinks: High quality ingredients and fine dining

We have stayed at the Scourie Hotel many times now and have never been disappointed and this year was no different. We love the fact that Scourie is a family-run, traditional hotel but with all the amenities available to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food was, once again, delicious and the staff both friendly and professional. We love the atmosphere in the bar in the evening where guests mingle and speak about their day?s fishing or walking or whatever brings them to Scourie. We will be back again for sure!

This was an excellent hotel. Wonderful food in the restaurant, and staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was comfortable and well equipped. The only negative aspect was a very poor/non existent Wifi connection.

My wife and I stayed here 1 night (26-07) on our North Coast 500 trip. We booked directly with the hotel incl. dinner and breakfast. We stayed in room #18 and where very pleasantly suprised with a large room and views on two sides into the garden and bay (incl. campsite). Room had a renovated bathroom, good shower and plenty of hot water in the morning rush hour. Dinner was lovely, but don't expect anything special. Breakfast was little standard I would expect a little more looking at the pricing for the hotel. Service and staff where pleasant and helpfull.

If you want a choice of a hundred meals pinged in the microwave straight from the freezer, this hotel is not for you.The menu that changes daily has a choice of four starters and mains. This is fine dining, excellent ingredients cooked by a very fine chef and his team. The rooms are clean and spacious, this is a luxury hotel as it should be, superb breakfast, sumptuous lounge and bar, complemented by friendly unstuffy staff.I can?t fault it .

Wonderful hotel that is one of our favourites. Lovely, comfortable, large and well equipped bedrooms, really comfortable lounge areas with lots of squashy sofas and comfortable corners. Staff are friendly and efficient and the food is excellent

Fantastic place for fishing enthusiasts! Proper, comfortable hotel in a stunning location with delightful staff and lovely facilities. Predominantly wild brown trout fishing on over 300 lochs, but also the chance to catch sea trout and salmon, and maybe the odd char. Excellent breakfasts, dinners and packed lunches. We were very well looked after, and enjoyed a shared interest with other guests. Even if you don't want to fish, this hotel is a real gem.

Room 5 very noisey maybe from a services room below even with the windows and curtans closed, had to put the kettle on the floor to boil the water as the electric plug was to short to put it on the bench safely.Only offered a fixed three course meal for dinner.Rooms: Room 5 very noisy (see my comments)Safety: The hot water jug dangerous if used on the benchFood & drinks: Very poor selection for there a three course fixed menu meal

Run by consumate professionals, I have never had a poor stay at scourie hotel. The food is fresh and superbly cooked with a daily changing menu. The roberts radio in the rooms coupled with the unique interaction with other guests be they fishing or touring adds to the ambience. Like holidays of a bygone era, it's refreshing to see guests become friends and bidding each other farewell at check out...something you don't get in modern concrete monstrosities festooned with flat screened televisions. ...advice: realise you are 700 miles plus from the home counties rat race and relax into the place...its one of the very best.

My wife and I stayed for a night in early May and words cannot express how wonderful the experience was. The service was outstanding, the rooms were exquisitely decorated, and the food was every bit as good as the Michelin restaurants we had earlier in our trip. A true gem in the northwest of Scotland.

We got this as a last minute reservation, so we were grateful to find a room - not easy on the North Coast 500. As such, we didn't know much about it, and it turned out to be a rather specialist hotel that catered for people that like to fly-fish. So though there was nothing wrong with it, we found the prices somewhat expensive for what we wanted. This isn't a complaint - just not what we would have chosen had we been able to find anywhere else!

Was advised we would be able to have food here as we were staying overnight in nearby campsite, however when we walked there my husband checked with a member of staff advising we were staying in the campsite and was looking to have food at the hotel the member of staff said "NO", they must of thought about their reply and said "we're full", I was waiting just outside and whilst it was busy there was space. Not impressed at all and feel this place may have to rely on custom from the campsite at some point as I would think the campsite attracts a lot of toursits/business, particularly as its on the NC500 route. Not all lost, we were able to get food a short walk further on at the little fish and chip van, which I would recommend over the hotel following our experience.Had to give 1 star to post review !!!
