We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Kylesku Hotel. The beds were big and super comfy; the shower was hot and powerful; the rooms were very clean and felt very quiet throughout the hotel; the breakfast was absolutely delicious, made even better by the fabulous view from the tables (and the staff remembered to bring us oat milk every morning without us needing to ask); we ate at the hotel one night - although it was expensive, it was so tasty! We can?t wait to go back!!

I had an amazing 4 nights at this hotel, staff made me feel like part of the family, superb seafood, great beer and a cosy bar. Would definitely stay again.

We would recommend whole heartedly, delicious food, large portions served quickly in an absolutely beautiful location.

We walked down to the hotel from the carpark and as it was open thought that it would be rude not to call in for a beverage.Peter the bar manager was very welcoming and friendly the bar was warm as the log burner was lit we will definitely call back again next year.

We came for lunch. Food and view were nice, but we were charged with two unknown items costing £10 and £38, which the waiter said they were drinks that were wrongly put to our bill when I asked about it?

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed for five nights and I wish it could have been more. The hotel is so comfortable and cosy, the food is really excellent, the views amazing. I can't praise it enough. Every staff member went out of their way to ensure that we had a relaxing visit. Our room (in Willie's Hoose) was spotless and really spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The bar and lounge areas in the main hotel so inviting! Highlights were seeing otters in the loch (and seals), the fresh local seafood (expertly prepared) and the relaxed atmosphere. If you want peace and quiet then go to Kylesku. I can't wait to come back!

A stunning location but what a dreadful place. Service was like watching grass grow and the prices eyewateringly expensive for what is mediocre food. Priced for a foreign market would be my guess, not interesting in genuine UK

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. Everything was perfect. The bedroom was lovely and the bed was so comfy. We will definitely be staying here again, but perhaps for a couple of nights instead of a fleeting visit.

The good bits - great location, peaceful, friendly staff, nice food. The not so good bits - signs of lacking room-maintenance, high cost/quality ratio, car parking. Our room was quite small, comfortable but not especially memorable. Restaurant has a fabulous view and the menu is very good with Scottish produce a feature. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Dinner was a good experience, but breakfast, in our opinion with considerable experience of all grades of hotel and B&B?s, was a little underwhelming with limited options. But the worst feature was the bathroom. On opening the door, the first thing we saw (couldn?t miss it!) was the mildewed and perished silicone sealant round the shower tray. This is such a simple and important matter of housekeeping and maintenance, I really don?t understand any hotel overlooking a fault like this. So, nice hotel, staff and location, but worth £300 a night for B&B? I don?t think so. Wouldn?t rush back. Later in our trip we stayed at a 5* guest house which greatly exceeded Kylesku in many ways, except this cost was over £100 a night less.

Stunning location on the Loch, uninterrupted views! Lacked somewhat in the fine detail in rooms, esp insulation between bathrooms...could litterally hear water running next door which was uncomfortable and at this sort of price wasn't expected. Generally hotel communal rooms nicely turned out with stunning vista from restaurant tables. I would say we felt the food serving was v expensive for the quality we received.

Fantastic hotel in stunning location looking over loch. Very good rooms. Great bar and restaurant serving excellent locally sourced food. Well worth booking if doing NC500 or just touring round Highlands.

We had a one night stay here as part of a North Highlands road trip, and It proved to be a real gem of a find. We had very kindly been upgraded to a room with a balcony and view out front across the water - it?s a room I?d definitely book again. My husband took delight in using the binoculars in the room to view the seals across the water) The bed was comfortable and the room pristine. The restaurant, although a little pricey was everything we needed - a fine dining experience with a beautiful view out. It?s predominately fish, but my vegetarian option was very good. Breakfast the next morning was equally as good. There is ample parking for the size of the hotel (always a decider when we book somewhere) ) I can?t fault the hotel and service we received, but what particularly made this stay memorable was the fantastic peace! We got out of our car upon arriving and I could have literally heard a pin drop! Amazing!

The view was fantastic, the breakfast very good, the dinner was also good but very expensive, the room in 'Willie's Hoose' with a balcony was rather small ( you had to mind your head when moving around the foot of the bed) and it had a shower head from a budget B&B.

The Kylesku Hotel is charging way above the quality of food provided. We ate here twice over the weekend as we had been booked in by our tour company. The staff were very friendly and helpful, however the food was very over priced - we had the scallops the first night at twice the price we paid at a cafe at John O'Groats and they were nowhere near as nice. The next time. we had battered and breaded haddock - the fish itself was lovely, however the batter was thick and overcooked as was the breadcrumbs and the chips were hollow. We should have complained at the time but the staff were so nice we didn't like to. We won't be back.
