We stopped there sporadically to have breakfast. This old house is simply fantastic. The boss gave us such great and uncomplicated hospitality. You simply have to see the house from the inside. You can immerse yourself in the past there. The house is still from 1650. I'm still totally thrilled. ??????????

Stopped for an evening meal whilst staying at the Caravan Park next door. Friendly staff with good service, tasty food and a nice pint all with views of Loch Eck.

Had a lovely stay. Staff were amazing. Evening food in the restaurant was great, and the breakfast in the morning was even better. The bath view over the loch was an unexpected surprise. Roof height in the bedroom was low, but not a problem as the bar was warm, welcoming and friendly. Stairs up to the room was very steep, but ample hand rails. Would definitely stay again as is the prefect bolthole from Glasgow.

Lovely bar area, nice fireplace, staff are friendly. We agreed with (assumed) the manager at 4:15pm, informed they wouldnt serve food untill 5pm. Had booked and paid for plans in the evening after, so wanted to eat promptly, manager said no problem, pre-order at 4:55pm, food at 5:15pm. More of our larger group came later. Long story short, the original group were no longer allowed to order from the main menu and only offered the kids menu as there were supposedly so many of us, other (assumed) local guests who had reserved ahead had priority. Waiter effectively was stalling and serving other guests first, saying he would bring menu ,and then disappear for another 20 minutes. due to our tight schedule we left at 5:50pm as it was clear he had no intention to take the order, again despite being promised and trying to order food at 4:55pm. If you don't have enough food to serve, fair enough. Don't tell customers you can, make them wait and order drinks and nibbles, then renege and stall, be upfront and honest.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, id say the Inn is budget and average pub grub food. Nice decent crispy chips served with one meal, then the next night oven chips? which were left uneaten. For the prices id expect better food, salad was quite sad tbh. Inn is trying on the food front but sadly failing and below par. I wouldn't eat here again unless reviews starting glowing, so to say but disappointing food.

We had a fantastic few days, post new year, the glamping pod at the Coylet Inn. An amazing little cosy space with outstanding views! The Coylet Inn itself was brilliant! Great food, lovely regulars and a roaring open fire. Also super dog friendly which is a must for us. Bonnie was made so welcome. We?re already plotting a return!

Very disappointed, restaurant empty apart from one other couple so no atmosphere at all. Not what we expected the week before Christmas. The food very poor, medium rare steak was well done and oven chips with a sad side salad. Not good. We also waited 40 minutes for our food which was a long time considering there were only 2 tables to serve. Such a shame because beautiful location and lovely old building. Could be fabulous with a good chef.

Visited the Coylet Inn today and couldn't fault the service or the food! Me, my partner and our dog were staying in a nearby lodge but our electric had been cut off! We were looking around for a place to eat and this definitely was the best choice. Greeted by the owner with a smile, quick service and lovely food. We sat by the warm fire and our dog was treated very well too :-) thank you for a lovely experience hope to be back soon!

Really good food. We arrived at 1pm on a grey autumn day - parking was plentiful and the location is on the shore road so the views are brilliant. We popped in after walking around pucks glen (a few minutes away by car). The staff were really polite and helpful. We were a group of 2 adults, a 3 year old and a dog. Water bowls are available for dogs, restaurant is dog friendly, there is a separate kids menu (we went for nuggets and mash- she loved it!), I tried the T-bone steak that was well priced, plentiful and tested lovely. My partner tried the beef pie- again another great meal. We followed up with some deserts and were pleasantly surprised with the bill. We will definitely be returning
