I have been putting off getting my eyes tested for a few years but after a few family members and friends recommended Tom's opticians I decided to pluck up the courage and go for an eye test. I was made to feel at ease from the second I entered the shop from Laura Jane who was very welcoming and helped calm nerves. I was then greeted by Tom who explained every part of the process and why he was doing each stage. Thank you for helping me. I left with a weight lifted.

Excellent customer service always received at Tom Baird opticians. Had a visit today and as always very professional service received from Julie the Optical Adviser to the professionalism of the Optician, Tom who always makes you feel at ease and explains everything in detail. Thanks again for the excellent service!

Excellent customer service and nothing is a bother to Tom (Optician) and his friendly team members Julie and Laura. Definitely recommend anyone looking for eye assessments or new glasses to go in and be attended to.Kind regards

I am always a champion for independent businesses and today is a very good example why....
It?s a yearly check up for the optician, we use a phenomenal local optician in Tom Baird based in saltcoats.
We get a nice letter to remind us it?s time for our check up a few weeks ago so I head in and have a nice chat to Laurajane Richard who I?ve known for years and is phenomenal with the kids. We agree the best time to head down and rather than have to work out separate days for me, the gaffer and the little guy, we all get seen, one after the other.
Unfortunately, I?m not as young as I look so need a new prescription, but that?s alright, because I know it?s been tailor made to my specific needs.... it?s checked, then re-checked to make sure that it?s perfect... not too much, just right, the way it should be.
From the minute we step in til the minute we leave, it?s personable, honest and organic from start til end. I get to see the frames that I?m going to have and as good as they are, they can?t improve my looks or give me thicker hair. (No harm in asking though).
I really cannot thank the staff from front of house, through to the optician enough. Tom even fed back that the little guy was the most intelligent person that he had spoken to today... (cheers fella).
My point is really simple, I got to feel like I was the most important person from beginning to end and you simply cannot get that from your franchises that just treat you like a number or a slot.
I know Tom probably isn?t on Facebook so maybe Laura or Jen Erin can pass on my thanks.
If you are looking for a hardworking and honest optical experience, then look no further than Tom Baird, based in saltcoats, a few doors down from costa... the good thing is, by the time you are finished, you will be able to see the prices of Costa !!!!!

Used this opticians few years now. Never feel rushed with optician, he always seems happy to answer any queries and explains and advises clearly on eye examination . The ladies at reception combine professionalism with faultless customer care in a friendly welcoming environment. Well deserved 5 stars.
