Manager seemed to HATE customers, walkers, and mornings. Used to be a great hotel but sadly gone way downhill. Food was only mediocre.

Great location for accessing the surrounding hills, or using it as base to go out even further.Very comfortable rooms which were spacious and well kept. The food from the restaurant was amazing as it was proper homemade. The 2 staff colleagues we kept interacting with, were incredibly friendly with great knowledge of the local area.We stayed here in June for the Glen Lyon Ultra, and we'll definitely be returning here next year too.

Great food.. comfortable rooms...great value for money....in a fantastic walking location. This is a great walkers base for the area...but also a very stunning stop off for those passing through. Have been coming since 2020 and are plann8ng to return.

The rooms are modern and clean, bathroom the same. The location is lovely with Loch Tay, Ben Lawers and An Stuc all surrounding. Breakfast good, evening meal excellent ( especially the pizza ). We even ordered evening meal whilst still walking down the mountain because we were running late.

Very accomodating, came for 2 nights (3 technically), amazing location and very friendly staff. They were as accomodating as possible and would absolutely stay here again. Breakfast was good and dinner was really nice.

Hotel is lacking a welcoming atmosphere. One staff member is around and seems to do everything, they?re friendly enough though. Bookings are without breakfast, and as an addition not worth it. Meals were also rather bland. It?s a pity really, as the hotel could be so much more.

Hotel for sympathique, très jolie chambre, le gérant a été patient, amical et gentil, je recommande.

Recently had dinner at the hotel. Have driven past the place many times and always wanted stop in one day. Nice country bar/restaurant with a homely feel. Didn?t partake in much alcohol other than a shandy as was driving but bar looked to have an excellent range of beers and whisky. Loads of options on the menu and priced very fairly considering what other places in the area charge. Food was good and portions plentiful. There was a live Scottish music night when we were in which was first class and we ended up staying a bit longer after we had dinner. Spoke with the owner a couple of times who was rushed off his feet all night and working very hard to serve customers. Seemed a decent bloke. Couldn?t fault our visit in any way and will definitely be back when in the area again.

Went to this hotel for a meal and drinks to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. We had looked at various establishments online and the menu here had a much bigger selection to choose from. From all the three courses none of the food could be faulted and it was evident all home made. Normal tasty food. The owner was friendly and very attentive. I see some other reviews mentioning the the owners attitude but he came across as a nice guy to me with a sense of humour. Thanks for the warm welcome and the great food.

On a drive around Loch Tay yesterday my friend and I stopped off to have a drink at the Ben Lawers Hotel. While I parked my car my friend went in to the bar. On joining her the man who I believe to be the owner of this hotel sarcastically greeted me by saying I needed to practise my reversing skills, not the sort of warm welcome you hope to receive in Scotland. His manner from there on was both boorish and morose and left us wishing we had never entered the establishment. It is not one we will visit again and cannot recommend that you do either. On reading other reviews for the hotel I notice that we are far from the only people with a similar experience.

Today we had a fabulous meal at The Ben Lawers Hotel. The menu is great, plenty to choose from, and all the food was home made. We each had something different (4 adults and 1 teen) and we all ate everything. We had starters, mains and deserts. The owners were chatty and very welcoming, from start (phoning to book the table) to finish (paying and saying goodbye). The only downside is that we didn't visit sooner in our holiday at Loch Tay. But we will definitely be back when we next visit.

I'm not really sure where to start with this place. We phoned ahead days before to book a table for 6 adults, 3 children and 2 babies. We arrived at our allotted time to find a single gent behind the bar. The restaurant was entirely empty but to our bemusement he told us we had two tables by the window. Seperate tables with a good 4/5 foot between them. We asked if we could push two tables together to which he replied "if you want". At that point he walked away, leaving us to move the tables around on our own. This was the start of my shift at the Ben lawers hotel. Once we were seated he informed us that he was the only one working so we would have to order our drinks at the bar. We were the only customers in the bar but I did as I was told and got a note pad and pen from the gentleman to take our own drinks order, all while he stood behind the bar watching me! Once I had taken the order back to my new boss he kindly informed me he had no ice machine or straws, I passed this information on to the table I was now serving and they seemed less than impressed. The gent then brought our drinks over with one ice cube each and proceeded to try and take our food order with half the table at the toilet. Why the hurry? The place was literally empty apart from us. When the table was finally complete he came back over and took our order. About 20mins later he re-appeared with our cutlery in a basket! Time for me to start my job again! I popped all the napkins and cutlery out on the table in front of each guest, I'm really not sure why he couldn't have done this himself..... before we arrived, maybe....at the allotted time of our reserved table of 11 people. Anyway, the food arrived, the skinny fries were soggy and anemic, I am 100% sure the burger I had was a rustlers burger equivalent with some microwaved bacon thrown in for good measure, definitely not the delicious looking burgers they advertise on their website. The pizzas were the only saving grace but again were only average. All in all I would say the gentleman behind the bar had an attitude of not really caring if we enjoyed our meal or not. He didn't check our table at any point during the meal. Didn't ask how everything was when we were paying the bill. In fact I would go further and say he made us feel like we were an inconvenience to his day. I'm sure he is a lovely gent, but some people really should not work in hospitality.

Had problem with our car on NYE, right outside what looked a welcoming pub/hotel. Sadly turned out not the case, on asking presumably the owner if we could come in for hot drinks/food we were told they weren?t open until 5:30pm, and they ?couldn?t help?. It was -3 degrees and dropping, and they were prepared to leave us outside with no access to food, drinks or WC. After a wonderful stay a few miles up the road, it?s a shame our experience of this hotel was so poor.
