Visited Angelina Coffee Snug around 9:20am on a Saturday as we were due to play golf at 10am. It was raining heavily (as it does!) and although The Snug doesn't open until 10 we were warmly welcomed in out of the rain by Angela. She made us cracking bacon rolls and a couple of coffees each and told us we could stay until the weather cleared as the course was quiet - probably because we were the only ones mad enough to play that day!
I have to say the warmth of the welcome and the service we received was outstanding not to mention the quality of the food and drinks.
Off the back of this experience we have booked a visiting party of 20 for breakfast and golf so you can imagine I'd highly recommend anyone to come and enjoy this excellent wee place if they're nearby and looking for a relaxed, friendly place to enjoy. Thank you Angela and the team and Whitehill Golf Club, Stefan

Stopped in after a tour of Rosslyn Chapel. Food and service were superb and so many locally made gifts.

This was lovely. I arrived with the ferry from Amsterdam in the morning and after a few hours of motorcycle riding I was fancying a coffee with something sweet. I ended up here and it was perfect. Nice surroundings, good coffee and great pastries. And then the owner, she fills this place with warmth. Keep on doing what you?re doing ?!

I was at Angelina?s for Afternoon Tea with a large group of women. I?ve been to a few afternoon teas so I know what they are usually like and I enjoy them hugely. I was really looking forward to it all, the food and the company. I?m afraid I was extremely disappointed. The sandwiches consisted of Ham, cheese and a little pickle. If you didn?t want ham and cheese well ?hard cheese?? there wasn?t a choice. No selection just ham and cheese in a big white roll not even a selection of white or brown and no knife to cut it with. The cakes were ok nothing to write home about. As I only drink herbal tea I asked for a peppermint tea. My experience of Afternoon Tea is you get a choice of tea or coffee. Not at Angelina?s it was tea or coffee. I had to buy, yes, buy a cup of peppermint tea (£3.50). Why was this NOT concluded as it?s ?tea?. It was very cold outside but no colder than inside. We had to keep our coats on as it was chilly. I will not be recommending Angelina?s to anyone which I would have done as I?d heard that there was good walks around that area. I can?t speak for everyone but I do know that the people who were sitting at the same table as me all felt the same. Not one of us will go back and we will certainly not be recommending Angelina?s to anyone.

We both had a latte and wonderful bacon roll today for our first visit to this great cafe. A bit off the beaten track but oh so well worth a visit. Lots of really interesting and varied crafts to check out. We had to take home a couple of gorgeous homemade muffins! We will be back. Thanks again Angelina. :-)

The atmosphere here is very relaxing. Gives me fallout vipes with the music. The food is baked daily, so menu is always changing. Today we had soup, bacon roll and cakes. (Delicious). The service is amazing. The staff remembered our wee one from when we first visited they were a newborn, was a very cosy relaxing affair.

A hidden gem in a lovely setting near Edinburgh. Friendly service, the best bacon rolls ever, delicious scones, cakes and traybakes, along with excellent coffee or tea and a variety of soft drinks. A bonus is the craft work on sale made by local artisans. Can't recommend it enough! Eliz

Stopped in here last year totally unplanned for a coffee and snack when we were out for a walk one day, and have since spoken about how great it was so many times. The cakes were delicious, but the highlight was how lovely the lady working here was. A really nice place to stop in - wish we lived closer so we could come by more often!
