“We were over from Troon on a courtesy time as our course is closed and it was a fantastic change of scenery! The people are very friendly, the clubhouse is outstanding and the course is beautifully maintained. Some of the holes are just fantastic, and the course is challenging but great fun. Good shots get rewarded, bad shots punished properly (which is spot on!!!). We had dinner (2 courses £16.95) and a few beers, caught the football and had a good bit of banter with the staff. There is literally NOTHING to dislike here. Missing out on St Nicks would be like not having Pigs in Blankets at Christmas: UNFORGIVABLE!!! Thanks to the staff for making us feel so welcome. Superb day.”
“A cool ancient links course, full of twists and character! It' feels like a snow globe of Scottish golf essence tucked, a tad claustrophobically, between the airport, train tracks, a beach walking trail, and parking lot. Not crazy about the Upstairs Downstairs aristocratic pretensions of the "Members Only Tees" when the club is making bundles off golf tourists like me with its high green fees and incredibly high-priced Peter Millar souvenirs in the pro shop. But the green fees are no higher than top American courses. And it's a lovely experience to be out on the course.”
