Lovely hotel, we enjoyed dinner with friends and family after a day at the Scottish Bowling Championships. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals and drinks. The service was great.

Brilliant service the only bad thing I have to say is the way Kirsty the manager speaks to the younger members of her staff I was really shocked at the way a young member of staff was spoken to. And I was under the impression that when being served that trays were a must carrying that amount of plates especially warm ones is a health and safety issue which I intend to look into further.

An ok hotel, for the price would expect better.
In a room for 2 they provide one towel and 1 tiny bottle of shower gel and shampoo.
The view from the room was the back of a few council houses.
At breakfast one of the staff had a bad attitude and asked each table for their room number 3-4 times. Then a number of things on the breakfast description were substituted without acknowledgment beforehand (they just replaced things and delivered it).
I wouldn't pay the cost to stay here.

It's not the best hotel in Prestwick but not the worst. Blinds are attached to the window, so if you are on the bottom floor and ha e the window open, the people getting their car just look in. If you're lucky enough, you will also get the room where all the staff park. So when the deliveries turn up at 5am you are the one that hears it first. The bar is not the best, the food is actually really good. Guiness out of a can and priced at a draft pint nor a can pint.

12 of us recently stayed at the Carlton Hotel Prestwick during our golfing Holiday in South Ayrshire. The welcome and ease of check-in was excellent. The hotel and rooms are immaculate in decor and cleanliness. We only booked breakfast as part of our package but it was suburb. A great choice including some very healthy choices. We all sat together and served with coffee or tea as we arrived. Orders taken at the table (there was a small buffet option too) and cooked to perfection. Great morning team.
Big praise to all the staff particularly the two ladies who helped me when I had my medical emergency they certainly went above and beyond to help, I'll always be grateful. Friendly bar staff particularly the chap who serves late into the night and happy to do so. A great cleaning team too.
For those that like a night out its a fair walk into the town but you can do it in about 40 mins. The town has many good spots we particularly liked Vic's Bar, Saturday night was particularly busy and I would avoid if don't like queuing for a beer for 20 minutes. All other nights were fine. Great karaoke bars too. Good taxi services always available for the town and the golf.

Top notch place would highly recommend situated in between Prestwick and Ayr and also a bus journey away from Troon. Rooms are immaculate staff are super friendly and the resteraunt food is brilliant. Would highly recommend the carlton

I enjoyed an overnight stay at The Carlton Hotel.
The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean.

I booked a table in your restaurant for my uncles 80th birthday. I stated that I needed gluten free & was assured that would be fine.
On arrival today I asked again as I?m coeliac & was told no problem. A different waiter took us to our table & I asked which menu was gluten free. He then said he couldn?t guarantee that it was gluten free as cross contamination could occur. He told me there was nothing I could have from the menu! I was totally shocked at this response. We obviously had to leave your premises without having our lunch. Very disappointed at the service received today & spoiled a special birthday treat.

Fabulous hotel. Stayed here for 2 nights with my teenage daughter in a twin room.
The hotel is modern, spotlessly clean and in a great location. Our room was very comfortable with a large tv and well appointed bathroom with very powerful shower.
We had breakfast both mornings and dinner on the second night. All the food was exceptional. Service was quick aswell. Staff were very friendly and the lady who checked us in bonded with my daughter over their shared love of plane spotting.
Highly recommend this hotel if you're ever in the area, we really enjoyed our stay.

We were part of a family group which was seated on time however it took a age to serve. To be fair they did serve a drink as an apology. Meal was tasty enough so no complaints there. Service was slow and depended on who was serving what course.
This is not my first poor experience and last visit was answered by the manager asking me to call to discuss which I did but she never called me back? Is this what you expect from a well run establishments?

We had a wonderful time. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, there was plenty free parking, and our meals in the restaurant were excellent. A special thank-you to Aidan in the restaurant who looked after us so well with his excellent and professional service.
