Finally managed to find time to join, with my daughter. This is a small library, but very child friendly. The layout is good. The book selection is limited, but the library is backed by the East Lothian library service and the service is practically the first thing you see on entry.

I took my 2 grandsons to the library and they did the animal quiz and hunt the animals and then the design an animal colouring. Great fun for kids if you have an hour to spare. Staff very helpful.

An ok selection of books, and one corner is full of big normal adult books and the other side is a playful area for the children (shhhh)

A lovely Carnegie library which has been sympathetically extended with a light, airy modern extension which houses the children's library and meeting rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful and play a huge part in making the library a welcoming place.Membership is required to borrow books and use some facilities e.g. computer hire. The library is a hub of the community and host many group meetings and events. There is a lovely garden at the rear of the library and some beautiful wooden carvings near the entrance.
