The staff in reception are friendly and accomodating I have been fortunate not to have ever struggled for a telephone appointment and if I have needed to see a Dr even throughout covid this was arranged quickly. Their is a wealth of knowledge and experience in the practice and I feel fortunate to have such a good local practice.

My mum phoned 3 or 4 times at the end of September looking for a bit of advice on covid. My youngest brother who has special needs and type 1 diabetes tested positive. He stopped eating, drinking and going to the toilet. He developed a cough as well. She wanted advice on antibiotics and him not eating and drinking. Each time these receptionist would not allow her to speak to a doctor or a nurse. On Tues 28th my brother was taken into hospital in a very serious condition on a ventilator fighting for his life where he is still there at the moment. I hope someone will contact me or my mum and offer some sort of explanation.Just adding to this. My brother passed away on 14/10/ 21 after never waking up from the coma. Shame on you Prestonpans Health Centre receptionists.

absolute disgrace,my wife has been coughing blood since last wednesday.telephoned surgery on friday after she got a appointment for monday a doctor came on telephone and said what do want me to do about it surely if your coughing blood youshould at least be told to come to the surgery.telephoned 111 on saturday sent to hospital inside 30 minutes.my wife is still in hospital undergoing tests,thanks to the doctor at surgery this cost her a full day of treatment.pity 1 star is lowest marking.

New repeat prescription facility is not an improvement on old practice based system. Clearly NHS uniformity of systems to lowest denominator for new practice based systems. It is definately not very well mobile enabled, less easily accessible and intuitive. No automatic recording of requirements from previous application to fill in a new request, no multiple item requests. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have always had very good service service from Prestonpans Group Practice. I was impressed by the fact that one of the GPs took blood from me when the Phebotomist was away due to the covid staff shortage, indicative of good multi-disciplinary practice, I have an excellent GP who has excellent rapport with me as her patient.

Never ever any issues getting an appointment, the reception staff are always friendly and helpful, I've always been seen by a doctor but recently I went to the nurse practitioner she was just as good, what a.great listener and during these difficult times they have been fantastic, so grateful for prestonpans health centre.

Dont go near this drs, a gp was meant to phone an ambulance for my ill dad and it wasn't done, i phoned the ambulance service at 8.45pm and the lady call handler was very nice and sent an emergency ambulance right away for my dad, this is inhumane to be treating an elderly person like this, why do these gps do what they want and get away with it

Recently registered here, process wasn?t that straightforward but the delightful woman on reception was very helpful, professional and pleasant. Couldn?t have asked for more.

I greatly appreciate the service I receive from the practise. Throughout covid I have been able to get appointments either by phone or in person. It has always been a very good practise and service is normally with a smile. I would like to mention in particular Dr Small who will be leaving this month. She will be sorely missed by myself as she has been my go to doctor for a number of years.

I joined this practice a few months ago. The service is excellent. The reception staff are always helpful and accommodating and doctors always thorough and make time when necessary. unpatronising.
