Very comfy bed and cosy room. Lovely staff and a decent breakfast. Good value for money and a great stop off place for on our way to The Cairngorms

When searching for a hotel and cafe/restaurant to utilize for the pilot episode of The Thistle Legacy, we went with the most logical. In keeping with my desire to help highlight the Dumfries/Galloway area, the Kinmount Hotel is perfect. Carol and her staff are very accommodating and helpful. We got the scenes filmed that we needed, and as the creator/writer, I would love to help them by including more scenes in further episodes, if they'd allow it.

I recently stayed at Kinmount Hotel and will definitely stay again. Kinmount is spotlessly clean, very well organised with beautiful rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed

Nicely decorated however the pricing was extortionate, 40p for a single tiddly tomato sauce sachet for my sons meal!Went for a Sunday roast, no gravy some tomatoey soup kind of sauce instead, very very strange, the food wasn't hot when it arrived. The sticky toffee pudding was burnt on the top and edge.Drinks order were mixed up, (the ice and no ice etc) , and the top up drinks never arrived after ordering.Over charged. Was meant to be 10.99 and got charged 14.99 per Sunday dinner.Didn't have any childrens pizza in stock. Will not be returning.

Not refurbished tried to be helpful but no facilities for disabled. No air con room window open this is a country location lots of Flys in the room. Shower very old and about a foot depth from the floor to get in and out of not suitable for disable slip hazard. This hotel needs a complete refurb. Empty apart from contractors cheap Diggs for them I guess.

We enjoyed two meals here while on holiday, we sat in the bar area, as we had our dog with us. The staff were welcoming and friendly and it was a nice atmosphere to have a relaxed meal. The second time it was a cold day and there was a lovely roaring fire to keep us warm. All covid regulations and social distancing in place, so felt very safe too. The food was fabulous. Particularly loved the Sunday roast, which is very good value with free seconds. Everything was tasty and was the best roast I've had for a long time. Yummy homemade puddings too. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely visit if in the area again.

Had a wonderful dinner for my 70th birthday. The food was delicious and the staff are all lovely and friendly.Stayed overnight in one of the newly refurbished bedrooms which was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
