Visited twice during our stay in Portsoy. Batter and fish were immaculate, fresh fish, clean and lightly crispy batter. Best fish I've had in a very long time. Only improvement might be the addition of a transparent film to keep food/sauce separated from wrapping. Staff friendly and very helpful. Food cooked fresh while you wait.

£20.20 for two fish suppers. The batter was stuck to the wrapping paper which nicely disintegrated the fish. The quality was pretty good but not worth the high price. The server forgot part of my order so I had to go back for it?.another £5 for 2 small drinks.Presumably the high prices reflect the current state of the economy but just raising your prices up and up is not the answer.Parking: You can park across the street, if there?s a free space. If not, there are plenty of parking spots within a minute or two of walking.

Not good overpriced. Got staredbat by all the staffntonthe point I felt uncomfortable. Then upon opening our chippers the papers were drenched in grease was pretty starbing sonate some and instantly felt ill with the amount of grease. Wont be going back.

I found it expensive. Ordered 1 small portion of chips and 2 jumbo sausages and 1 small curry and it was £12.

Quality is good - crispy batter and nice chips - but a combination of the prices across the (extensive) menu and the portion sizes of chips means that I would rate value for money in general as poor.

Two fish suppers, 8 out of 10 for the fish but the chips, they should be paying you to take the scraps away. Unfortunately we were passing through or would have returned them.

Great fish suppers from Hook line and sinker last night. Even better eating them down at Portsoy beach. What more could you ask for. Excellent, nicely cooked and well worth a visit for one of the best fish and chips taken away in the North East of Scotland..

Such a great fish & chip shop, food was delicious & reasonably priced. Great service & friendly staff, would highly recommend. Stopped in past on our way to Inverness & even stopped in on our way back home, 5star food & service!

Approaching 5p.m., the shop was very busy, but the staff seemed to have a very good system in place . The fish was very fresh with crisp batter. The chips were also very good. No sign of the ?grease? mentioned in another review. And I don?t understand people saying it?s expensive. The fish is the freshest haddock, not the cod you get in Englandshire.
