Basic but charming hotel. No lift so be warned, especially for tired legs after hiking on the island. The room was pretty small it must be said but was clean and cosy. Definitely could be more sound proof but didn't stop us getting any sleep! Decent selection for breakfast. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Very centre of Portree so close to everything you could need.

Only had one meal which was Breakfast, which to be honest was awful, had Eggs Benedict and ne watery egg with a very small amount of ham on a stale scone, which was really disgusting and inedible, if that?s the best Scotland can offer, heaven help us!!!

A very pleasing room (not massive but big enough) and en suite with quality toiletries and towels.Good selection on the menu. I opted for beef cheeks followed by a sticky toffee pudding. Great local ales too.A very central hotel and not really too far from anywhere on the island of Skye.

We had dinner there. The food was good. Especially the highland beef burger, but we had to order the drink twice (Cider) and it seemed like a clear one, we didn't like it at all.On the other hand, the staff did not seem to be on their best day. They could have sat us inside which was very cozy, but they sat us at the entrance.

We went to dinner, just the food. But the staff was very rude, it seemed like we were bothering them and I even noticed that they had put us away from the premises. I will not repeat.

Went here for lunch, and to be honest the food isn't mind blowing.. Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad, it has flavors and all, but you'd expect better tasting food from a place as nice as this. The place is nice and the staff did a wonderful job.

Only went into the restaurant and it was the best food and service on the whole isle, and best cooked steak I've had anywhere (was a serloin on their specials) and someone made a hot chocolate there which was amazing. Desserts were very well presented and tasted great. Will certainly return here in future and can't recommend it enough.

I don't know about the hotel but the restaurant is good, yes, the menu is short and the options are very limited.Even though kitchen hours were until two o'clock, they took us, which was very appreciated.The burger and fish and chips are very good. Macaroni, according to my daughter, not so much. recommendable

Fish and chip was outstanding. The fish portion was generous and thick. Outer layer thin and crispy. Inner fresh juicy and full of taste of ocean. The chips were a little burnt, brownish colour, delicious. It was one of the best fish and chip we tried so far from many continents. 5 starsThe salad and soup of the day just mediocre. 2 starsThe most surprising discovery here was the whiskey Drambuie, recommended by our tourist guide Mr AndyS. He said that this Drambuie was one of the highly regarded and popular whiskeys in Scotland, which is well known of Whiskey. So good. Cannot be described by words. WOW. 5 stars

Great hotel! Missing nothing, beautiful little room, very clean. We had dinner there one evening...and it was excellent!! The breakfast was also good.

We didn?t know what to expect, but the location was in walking distance of anything we would need! The rooms were very clean and they had twinkle lights installed in the windows for ambiance! Frankly, we were happy to have a spacious bathroom too! Breakfast was delicious. We cannot say enough great things about this hotel!
