We were visiting from Melbourne and were lucky enough to get a last minute booking - advise you book in advance. The food was really clever and the flavours had many layers- it was delicious and the service was second to none. Thanks for a great night!

Phenomenal vibe, service, and very creative food. There?s no menu - it?s just a tasting menu. Only complaint is I wish portion sizes were a little bigger - one bite each and a small main in the cod

I feel sad writing this review, but I didn't enjoy Scorrybreac. I found it overpriced and underwhelming.
I found the setup awkward. We were left alone in the hall on arrival, unsure where to go. Our table was by the kitchen and I had to stoop to let the servers past.
The service was leisurely. The first course ('a snack') took half an hour to arrive. The second came on the hour. These were tasting plates, a couple of bites each, and it wasn't enough food for an hour's wait. We were two people on a tasting menu, so timing should have been simple.
The food was okay, but at this price it needed to be special, and it wasn't. Even basics were off - the table water was tepid, the bathroom was out of toilet paper...
It's weird, but after three hours and seven courses we left... hungry? I'm not sure I understand how...
I'm sorry to the staff - I don't like leaving bad reviews - but I can't recommend Scorrybreac, and definitely not at this price. I feel like we were ripped off.
Come if you're curious, but you can find much better elsewhere.

Lovely food with lots of flavour. Not cheap ,buts that?s ok considering the quality however the 12.5% service surcharge added to the bill is a bit cheeky.

Tasting menu (£99.50):
Pacific oyster, smoked rhubarb vinaigrette - Good. Large and fresh with mineral taste.
Halibut tartare, cucumber, sea plantain, larch - Excellent. Fresh and refreshing.
Flashadder lamb with shallot, blue corn tortilla, nasturtium - Good.
Barbecue scallop with foraged pesto, sea herbs, smoked corral - Outstanding. Fresh and large. The pesto, herbal sauce went well with it.
Treacle soda bread, buerre noisette - Excellent. It had a cake-like texture.
Mangalica pork with celeriac, white miso, nettle - Excellent. Both the loin and the belly were marbled and tender. The sweet sauce went well with it.
Rhubarb with fresh crowdie sorbet, rose - Excellent combination of cheese flavour with sharper rhubarb.
Connage yoghurt with orange blossom, Scots pine - Fine. Rather breakfast-like.
Good service.

We had high expectations for Scorrybreac and unfortunately didn't feel that they were met. While the food was incredible, we felt the service, given the price point was lacking. When dishes were put down, only the menu description was stated versus providing more context around the dish. When questions were asked about ingredients or choices, the servers didn't really have the knowledge to address them. Additionally, our reservation was for 7, we were sat at 7:15 and left at 9:35 so felt pacing could've been better given portion size. Lastly, the wine pairings were mis-timed and weren't spoken to for what courses they should go with. The food was great but tasting menu price point means that the service needs to match, and honestly it was a let down. We had dinner the following night for 1/4 of the price with 10X better service and atmosphere.

I would have liked to received a confirmation email regarding the reservation - I wasn?t sure if it had gone through correctly and had to call to confirm.
Regarding the meal itself, the courses were very tasty, but the quantities weren?t sufficient in my and my partner?s opinions, especially the scallops and venison given the price. We also found it peculiar that the bread was considered a course even if it was tasty.
Finally, concerning the bill, lots of restaurants seem to be doing this now but I would prefer if the waiters received a decent salary from their employer, and have the price of the menu encompass this fee.

Honestly the best experience on Skye hands down. My partner and I were blown away by every dish on the seasonal menu. Oliver was a fantastic host and was happy to chat to us about all the food and local ingredients used in the dishes. Fantastic wine and I think I'll member the venison main for a very long time. The scallops also the best I've eaten. 10/10. We walked out discussing each course in detail. What more could you ask for. Expensive sure, but an experience that is totally worth it! If seeking fine dining on Skye this is the place.

Dinner tonight at Scorrybreac was a highlight of our visit to Scotland--easily worth a journey from much farther afield. Every course was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and imagination. The starter of leeks and potatoes was light yet deeply savory. Then came a hake ceviche that was bursting with brightness?fruity, fresh, and surprising. The main course, smoked venison with Jerusalem artichokes, delivered one of the most extraordinary umami experiences I've ever had. Every bite was unforgettable. Dessert brought it home with a stewed rhubarb crumble and a floral ice cream that struck the perfect final note.
The service was relaxed and genuine?warm, unpretentious, and clearly proud of what they?re serving, and rightly so. Scorrybreac isn't just a meal, it?s a memory. My sincere thanks to the chef and entire staff for an evening that exceeded every expectation.

I have eaten at many Michelin restaurants and I thought the food was better than many I have eaten at. All locally and seasonally sourced ingredients and did I mention the local ingredients in the region are spectacular? Bonus Cocktail: Their Scottish take on the old-fashioned is a must.
