Easily the best hotel we stayed at in Scotland. Beautiful grounds. The restaurant and bar are awesome. Cool hiking trails in the hills with amazing views back toward Skye. Leave the car in Skye and take the ferry across, you can walk to the hotel from the dock. Really great place.

I cant wait to come back, me and my friends stayed here and were delighted to find out they had upgraded our room as a treat. Can?t believe we are the only ones staying here at the moment. The whiskey winter retreat package offered a bottle of wine and bar of chocolate per room on arrival, welcome drinks and free distillery tour at the distillery (5min walk away) and even though the hotel isn?t offering lunch/dinner, their breakfast was delicious and the dinner at the distillery was good although a bit pricey. We came over on the ferry just at sunset and the view of the hotel was so warm and welcoming. The views are just stunning and the hotel has a super cosy library nook with a fire to sit and read/chat. The staff have been so lovely and attentive. Definitely exceeded all our expectations.

The place and the hotel were really beautiful! (And easy to access!) A little secret jewellery! And what a calm! We were warmly welcomed, the owners know how to receive for our greatest pleasure! The room was beautiful and spacious, the bed was very large and comfortable, and the view was breathtaking! What a happy moment! Thanks for this moment ! ?Rooms: Very clean and beautiful !

I was working on the mainland, had a weekend off, and was looking for a dog - friendly place to stay. Raasay House exceeded my highest hopes in every way! Beautiful location, fine old building, elegant rooms, very friendly staff, and excellent food. It was a real treat to stay there and I'll be back, with my wife, who'll love it I'm sure. There is also a wonderful easy coastal walk from Fearns, round the southeast flank of the island, as well as a range of other walks which I hope to explore next time. Thanks very much to all the team.

I had a fantastic experience at this venue! The food was incredibly tasty, and as a vegetarian, I thoroughly enjoyed the tomato soup, herbed potatoes, salad, and vegetable risotto. The flavors were exquisite, and the variety offered for vegetarians was impressive. I highly recommend this place for vegetarians too. The ambiance was superb, and the service was top-notch. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that I would gladly repeat. Five stars!

As frequent travelers to the Scottish Highland, we absolutely loved discovering the island of Raasay for the first time. The hotel is a very beautiful house, and our room, the balcony suite facing towards Sky, was amazing (what a view...!). We did enjoy spending some time in the hotel, and also visiting the distillery (which is an absolute must, as well), and talking a walk up to Temptation Hill, and also a drive to reach Calum road (?). Yes, it is needed to catch a ferry to reach the island, which wasn't a problem at all. All in all, we had an incredible experience. Thank you so much!

Stunning vistas all around. Beautiful hotel and comfortable room. One thing to note if you plan to visit on a weekend is that the hotel restaurant is closed on Sunday and only breakfast is served on Sunday (we were told by hotel staff). The nearby distillery has a restaurant that serves lunch.

While we did not stay at the hotel, I can not rate the staff at this hotel highly enough! We had planned a day trip to Raasay. We had a wonderful day exploring the beautiful island! On our return, there was an issue with the ferry and we were stranded with our dog. The hotel staff were excellent and managed the very difficult task of finding everyone that was stranded accommodation for the night. The islanders rallied together and found us a lovely place to stay for the night! We had breakfast and showered at the hotel the following morning. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. I would definitely stay here in the future. Beautiful hotel and stunning location! We seen dolphins and a whale was spotted at the pier. Simply stunning, thank you for this magical experience. I loved being stranded on this beautiful island!

I have stayed at the hotel and now visited the cafe. The food is at best mediocre. There is a general lack of care. It is unforgivable to fail to deliver good fish and chips and mussels on a Scottish island. I may stay at the hotel again but will eat at the Distillery in future.

We only visited for pre and post hike fuel and the cakes and coffee was great in the morning, quick and tasty, although extremely expensive in our opinion. Bar snacks were great later on as well and we had refreshing drinks, a little annoying that hot food is only served in the evening right as the last ferry is coming in. A handy pit stop for fuel while exploring Raasay though.

As a family of 4, we were delighted by our stay ! The family room was really nice and confortable. That was really appreciated by the 4 of us. Same for the beautiful library. We could enjoy a wonderful RIB trip to see the wildlife (the otters, puffins and dolphins were all really near the boat) and learn more about the history of the island. This was really captivating! The kids claim to do it again (even when it was just 2 hours ago? ahah). At the restaurant, we could eat the best oysters we ever tasted, and enjoy delicious scallops, all marvellously prepared. The staff in the restaurant is lovely too ! Too bad that your house is so far away from ours (in France), we would have come again, and again, and again !

So if you ever get a chance to come here please do. The island is a green haven and it is beautiful. This hotel had everything a human could need. Comfy rooms, ensuites, hikes and walks. And the food! Let me tell you about the dinner I had here. I travel the world and this is one of the nicest dinners I've had in years. The venison tartar was exceptional, the asparagus starter is vegan and it was so amazing I ordered it twice. My steak was cooked to perfection and plated beautifully. And a little cheese plate to end my night. Bronte was my server and her knowledge on wine pairings (although she's vegetarian) was spot on. I can't wait to go back. They also give you the information on all their suppliers and meat manufacturers so you know everything is coming local. Please try it out and enjoy a week end on the islandRooms: Spacious and cozy. Great wifiNearby activities: They gave bkat tours, kayaking, archery, hiking. You can book or do activities soloFood & drinks: Some of the best food I've eaten in a long time

Restaurant/ Cafe: We arrived at 10 05 - it was raining heavily .We asked if it was possible to get coffee. The answer was : no. Not until 10 30am, no exceptions whatsoever. No offer to wait inside.Nevertheless, we came back at noon for lunch since you have few options on this small island. Fish and chips and the fish burger were unfortunately not tasty -incredibly greasy and unseasoned. To be fair: the two servers at lunch were much friendlier than the young lady in the morning .

I honestly do not understand all these positive reviews. The building is beautiful but old, the carpet smells bad, and the rooms don't even have a phone to call the concierge. In our room plus you could hear the noise of the (airing/heating) system all night long. All this is obviously not possible for a 4-star hotel. The only positive note was the helpfulness of the staff.
