A hidden gem! As the name suggests, it used to be a post office (interesting ?)!The house is cosy, clean and absolutely lovely. It has enough room for two adults, with a bit of a small living room, fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom with a king bed.Excellent location, about 20 min drive from Portree, in a quiet and charming spot.My favorite part in my stay was meeting the landlady. An absolutely lovely, kind, welcoming lady. The locals were also very friendly and helpful. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Independent apartment, small kitchen but sufficient for two people for a few days. Attentive welcome, beautiful area, near Portree, magnificent landscapes and interesting visits.

The second time we've stayed at the Old post office- it's a cozy and comfortable cottage ideal for a couple. The view across the sea and fresh sea breeze through the open skylight window in the bedroom upstairs is worth the price of admission alone. The cottage is well appointed with all you'll need, a nice shower, and you'll be well looked after by Joan who lives nextdoor. It's also well situated for day trips around Skye and two miles from Uig which has the ferry to Harris!

This is a brilliant cottage on the Isle of Skye, and such a bargain. It is tiny/cosy, but absolutely fine for a couple. Joan, who owns the cottage is very friendly and helpful. The cottage is equipped with everything that you could need for a self catering holiday and the bed is REALLY comfortable
Good location for exploring the northern 1/2 of Skye, however we drove all around Skye with most places less than an hour away. Only 5 minutes from Uig where you can get the ferry to other islands (we went to Harris and Lewis which I can highly recommend.
Highlights on Skye included climbing to the Old man of Storr, Fairy pools, Faerie Glen and the Skye Life museum.
Highly recommended!
