No frills hotel right at the Harbour edge. Very loud location with a bar and restaurant downstairs. You can also easily hear you neighbours. Don't recommend staying here if you are looking for quiet and don't like the smell of fish and chips. Large staircase to get upstairs so take note if you have heavy or bulky bags. Basic breakfast.

Didn't stay here or eat here but had a swift pint with the locals discussing the state of the area. No one batted an eyelid, just welcoming but not in your face. A true local pub.

Went there in July, the view from the window is really beautiful. The room is big, heater is functional but not quite enough. Shower water pressure is a bit low, other than that it?s a nice and cozy place. They also offer full Scottish breakfast which is not bad.

A fantastic pint of Guinness and a proper West Highland bar with friendly bar staff who knew their stuff. Doesn't get any better for me as a place to drink!

Everything, from the food to the staff. Worst meal we've had in Scotland. Mussels were sandy, some discoloured. Everything was "sour" tasting. Waitress stared us down the whole time. No discount even after we complained. Avoid at all costs!! If there was a negative 5 that's what I'd rate.

I'm going to value the restaurant, not the hotel since I didn't stay there.
The attention was not good, the girl was constantly clueless, with a small living room that was still big for her.
In the soup the potatoes were clearly undercooked, and the salmon passed in cooking time.
The mussels had hardly any flavour, they were not well cleaned and also had too much cooking.
As for the salmon, it was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary, in addition to the fact that the amount was very small for the price of the dish.
The restaurant has a good score here on Maps, and it surprised us for bad... maybe it was just a bad day or maybe it has more score than it really deserves.

We went to the Pier Hotel (the blue one of Portree's famed coloured houses at the port) for dinner only. It was a small room restaurant right on Portree Harbour with only about 8 tables. We booked but when we arrived at 6pm on a Saturday night it appeared to be first come first served and were glad to find a table still available - others arriving later were asked to wait in the hotel bar until they were called.
The menu was focused on seafood but not extensive but the food we ate was superb. My wife had the scallops and the langoustine (the last a daily special) and was in raptures. I had vegetarian fajitas which was very good indeed. We made room for a shared desert which also was well appreciated.
Noteworthy details: The single waitress did a great job - and was very friendly. There seemed no issue in my wife having two entrees in lieu of a main. The food was not slow in coming - I think they try to fit in two shifts each evening.

We walked in when they opened, resection not required, and the dining room quickly filled up for dinner! The menu had something each of us enjoyed- and we enjoyed pesto pasta, scallops, monkfish, and drinks Guinness, Strongbow Cider and cold water. Dessert was an English favorite-sticky toffee pudding. All were great dishes, although perhaps ordering more scallops would have been smart! The pudding was rich, flavorful and a new taste treat for 2 of our group - so good. Service was fast, meals were fresh and hot. We enjoyed our dinner
