food is great value for money and very tasty ,staff are polite .was very off puting the telephone ringing constantly which no one answers and is very very loud ,we were trying to have conversations and eat our food but the ringing was of putting ,at one point i mentioned it to staff but request was ignored .we were sat on the raised area near the toilets so if anyone is booking a table please ask to be seated at the far end

We have been here on more than a few occasions now. Easy to get to by train or car with an extensive available car park. We eat and drink out a lot between Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow and are well experienced diners. This has to be by far our most favourable and desired destination. The customer experience is at the heart of this popular family run Scottish gastropub/restaurant and the food served is plentiful and delicious. No matter what time of day we have been, lunch or dinner it is always extremely busy. Very family friendly and popular with locals and tourists a like looking for a high quality customer experience, great food at a great price. We can?t fault the Claremont and our experience with it. Fantastic place to eat and drink and enjoyable day out with family and friends. Stu & Nik

I have drank and eaten in this pub/restaurant for 30 years+ keep going back as the food service and atmosphere is always 5 Star. 10/10 every time keep up the great work Gregor family and your team. Can?t recommend enough.

Very very disappointed tonight,service and food was horrendous,quality of festive food was disappointing,also had to wait 1 hour between starter and main course,we visit this restaurant often as a family and find this totally unacceptable and disappointing

Came here for Evening meal, not visited in a while but felt that the food was not as good as previous visits in terms of quality, I had a nicely cooked steak but it was still not tender, that tells me that the quality of meat was poor. I asked if they used British beef and the waitress was unsure so I have my doubts. The other noticeable aspect was that most of the staff looked miserable, not one smile to be seen at any point during our visit other than two members of staff that have been there for a while,

Good food at a good price. Only been here the once, so I cannot say I've samples enough of the menu to declare anything better than another, however the lamb chump was delicious, and the goat cheese went perfectly with the burger for a taste explosion. Don't be fooled by the outside, which looks like an American Diner. Once inside it's decked out as a pub, but with higher ceilings giving it an open feel.
