Ordered some food , it was ok, the main problem was the drinks two of the drinks that we ordered were exactly the same, lemon aid and vodka, one was with lemon aid and the other was with soda because the post mix had ran out but the staff refused to acknowledge that fact that the mix had ran out and they were adamant that the drinks were right but they were obviously not, sent the one that was made wrong back and because of this we received terrible rushed service for the rest of the night? not happy considering we come here frequently.. bad attitude and bad service and the arrogance. today was definitely a down fall to the old mill, maybe the staff are having a bad day but the customer is always right. Especially when they all bar staff and chefs?

Stopped for a bit of food in Pitlochry, and wandered up to a pub that seemed quiet but with people outside in the sun, spent 15 minutes standing at the bar being ignored (8 people) whilst 6 bar staff wouldn't even acknowledge our existence. We just walked out, and went to find somewhere else. Id recommend avoiding the coach house, its terrible, and ended up being a godsend, as we ended up finding a real gem
Ended up by chance, finding a busy place, the old mill inn. Not expecting to be able to get in, we waited to be seated, and within a couple of minutes we're shown to a clean table, by a very smiley young lady. Menus were promptly brought over and a drinks order was taken, and special off the board were spoken from memory, even though there were lots, and they were very well described. Just showed professionalism and care. Drinks were brought, all correct and to the right customer without need to ask who had what. Just a nice touch.
Most chose off the special board.
The food came quickly, just mains, no starters as we were not intending to spend all day in Pitlochry, which was great.
The food was exceptional. Piping hot, absolutely fresh, wonderfully tasty. Not a moral was left by anyone. Pleasantly full, but not over faced, and definitely not left hungry. Enjoyed it so much, we are planning a stop on our way back south, just to nip in for some of the other really appetising dishes on the menu.

Really nice place to eat. A little pricey for what we were looking for during a camping trip but we found there was wood fired pizza on offer which were really delicious. Sat in the garden area and watched the football in the sun. Really nice atmosphere and the rest of the food off the main menu looked great from what we could see so I will be back to try it.

This is only about the bar and general observations.
Really poor wine list, few mixers ok beers and whiskies. Asked for vodka orange justice and was giving a huge glass of (powdered?) tang like juice with a thumbnail of vodka. Totally uninterested bar staff and too many waiters standing around.
Management must suck as the workers are unhappy and rather unpleasant.

I stopped in for a beer. The most expensive beer in town.

Read the reviews on here and expected food to really look forward to. Had our dog with is so could only sit in the bar area. The seats were grubby and chairs and tables not designed for eating, lounging only. Ordered fries and the Cullen skink soup. Fries a small portion for £6 and the soup was awful. No soup flavour. Was basically some lumps of potato, bits of leek and a few scraggy grey lumps of tail end haddock(?) swimming in a tasteless pot of cream.
Husband had a falafel wrap which was average. We both felt like walking out as soon as we had sat down, and wish we had done.
Music too loud and intrusive. Not once asked if everything was OK.
Food total came to £43 - it wasn't worth half that. Never again.
