Please don?t be fooled, this is not a ?spa? hotel. We went to this hotel using their spa break package hoping to celebrate our engagement with a 3 night stay and some lovely spa treatments. I left in tears.
1) to start, our bathroom had faeces on the wall
2) The sauna/steam room has been broken for months and they could not tell us when it will be fixed.
3) the gym was mediocre at best, covered in cobwebs and exoskeletons with your basic equipment: treadmill, bike, rowing machine.
4) breakfast was a bit cold on the first morning but better the next day so quite hit and miss
We told reception we weren?t happy about the faeces on the wall nor the fact we were expecting a ?spa? hotel, under a spa package and they failed to mention their facilities were out of order. Due to the combination of issues we advised we were considering leaving, to which they agreed to compensate us for the loss of facilities and also provide us another room (this ended up being an upgraded room which we assumed was due to the inconvenience or that it was the only other available room).
On the morning at the end of our stay, we turned up at reception ready for our spa day (2 treatments and an afternoon tea) only to be informed that the had CANCELLED these because we had agreed to an upgraded room and partial refund.
Cancelling our spa package was absolutely not discussed - it was the only reason we stayed!! We were not told the reasons why we were given an upgraded room - we assumed because there was literal faeces on the walls and that you were apologetic about that!
The reception manager then continued to act like we were lying about what had been agreed with her colleague.
So in the end, we didn?t receive any actual compensation - they just cancelled our treatments. What a way to celebrate an engagement - thank you so much.

Beautiful location. Just spent the night. Did not try out all the things they had on offer. Bit of a maze but the signage is good to find the rooms. It's a modernize hotel so the room layout a interesting.
Great breakfast layout.

I stayed at the hotel recently and believe I was in room 243. I had specifically requested a quiet room, but unfortunately, I was placed right by the road. A delivery van arrived at 6 a.m., which woke me up ? not ideal for a restful stay. I could also hear loud footsteps from the room above, which added to the disturbance.
The décor in the room felt quite mismatched and not really to my taste. While the room looked clean at first glance, I accidentally dropped an earbud under the bed and was disappointed to see it hadn?t been vacuumed in what looked like a very long time.
That said, the staff were excellent ? very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel does have potential, but overall, it feels quite dated and would benefit from some updates.

Staff were friendly and helpful, with the main reception being nice and welcoming. We stayed in the old Bank of Scotland, a separate building next to the hotel, which is dog friendly. Being dog friendly, you expect certain wear from our K9 pals, such as marks on the floor. However, the room was let down by general cleanlisness and upkeep. The tops of the bedside tables and headboard were dusty and hadn't been cleaned in a while. That being said, the bathroom was clean, and the complimentary soaps were really nice. There were cigarette holes on the veil curtains presumably from someone smoking out the window. The centre of the curtain rails were held together with duck tape, and part of the curtains had come off the rail hangers. However, they are really, really tall curtains. Being external to the hotel, the security of the room was a concern. The front door is a single yale that our geriatric party animal neighbours kept leaving open. However, that is not the hotels fault. The internal door was an 80s doorknob lock. Both would open with a gentle kick.
Breakfast is what you would expect for a 3-star hotel, hot with a decent continental. The staff were really attentive and on the ball in terms of cleaning up.
The swimming pool changing area was clean and the pool was nice and warm. However anymore than 5 people, and it became too busy.
Pitlochry is beautiful, with lovely shops and walks. Hetties cake shop is worth a visit. Be warned the pubs are more expensive than Edinburgh and on a par with London prices in terms of a pint of beer. We didn't have a drink in the hotel, so we can't say whether their pricing is reflective of the pubs.
Unless you're taking a dog, I would choose the hotel itself.

We continue to have a great visit, although we do have a 6am wake up every morning with kitchen staff moving trolley s around. A shout out for Shaun in the dining area and Lori on reception, both very professional and genuine.

The hotel is in some desperate need of a refurbishment, and the maintenance man needs to be replaced, all common areas away from reception were falling apart, damaged walls, paint on windows, and the staff mostly Eastern European could not understand nor speak English, when I checked out of the hotel and got to the airport I realised I left my hat in the room, and the receptionist could not understand what I was saying, promised a returned call and still waiting some four day on. I strongly would not recommend this hotel.

Just back from a last minute overnight stay to celebrate our anniversary and unfortunately we were disappointed. Our room was ground floor which is right beside the car park , cars parked right outside the window and passers by.. We had absolutely no privacy unless we had the blind right down which then stopped the natural light in. We were woken at 6.15am to what sounded like workers loading a van and then again at 7.30am to the bin lorry. We went to use the spa in which the steam room was out of order and there was debris around the pool such as a used plaster, very unhygienic. We came away really disappointed

Clean rooms well equipped, generous tea coffee supplies and pod coffee maker. Just missing any USB charge points and sockets or bedside lamps one side, no stand for suitcase, good breakfast, we were offered 10% off food at fishers hotel, along main road, but we ate elsewhere.
Would recommend it.
Staff friendly, a good choice for breakfast.
Spa was fully booked up. Pool was available but again we did not make use if it so cannot comment on either

We went for a spa day here after getting vouchers for Christmas.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and showed us to the spa area and changing rooms ect.
I must stress first of all my spa therapist was so so lovely and friendly and I really enjoyed my massage.
Beyond this however it was a disappointing experience. The changing rooms and pool area were dirty and extremely dated. The steam room and sauna were out of order. Whilst the pool was absolutely fine and warm the jacuzzi would go off periodically after about 5 mins and wouldn?t go back on for another 10 or so.
The afternoon tea following was plentiful and nice enough- no complaints there! A lovely selection of things to try ect.
All in all it was a very mixed experience but looking at the facilities I struggled to understand how it had won so many awards as advertised on the website. Whilst the treatment and afternoon tea were great- the facilities let the experience down.

We stayed at this hotel during our visit to the lovely town of Pitlochry. The location is great, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a good variety of food.
However, part of the hotel is currently undergoing renovation, which caused some noise and dust. Unfortunately, we were also woken up at 6 am by a fire alarm?apparently triggered by steam from a shower after a guest left the door open. We had to wait outside briefly, but the staff handled the situation quickly and informed us when it was safe to return.

Ideally located right in the centre of Pitlochry. Unfortunately no dinner service when we stayed but many dinner and drink options nearby. Our room was clean and presentable although the hotel itself is a bit of a maze! There is a bar on site and reception is right next to it. Off street parking as well but you need to enter your reg at reception I found the staff friendly and helpful.
