Staff were absolutely lovely and the hotel is amazing HOWEVER when we went to dine for the £60 tasting menu for my birthday we were seated next to a group of really loud people who basically ruined our evening. They were asked to be quite but instead got louder as they got drunker. I eventually left as me and my friend could not hear each other speak and was made worse by the loud what felt like out of place dance/club beats music. We eventually moved to an alternative dining with two other people who also disliked the loud music but told the music was the hotels brand, not what I expected at hotel in Scottish countryside during a £60 a head meal. I didn't expect it to be a boozy place and I know you cannot control people but I feel they should have been asked to leave. It ruined my birthday. What also felt bizarre was the loudish emotional music being played at breakfast just as I was enjoying the view outside and my beautiful breakfast.Fine if it's the owners brand I respect that but it should be advertised as a slightly clubby vibe. It distracted from the amazing food and lovely kind and helpful staff. Did appreciate help with my bed by the owner though. I suppose it's personal choice but I don't drink and cannot handle boozy atmospheres.

A fantastic hotel - we drove a long way just for one night but it was totally worth it. The staff are really amazing, the hotel is beautiful, the location is breathtaking and the food is fantastic (and that is coming from someone who isn't a vegan). The rooms are comfortable and the decor is fun. No complaints!

Wow! What a fantastic weekend. The most beautiful hotel, exceptional food (all vegan, and my non-vegan friends couldn?t fault it either!) and incredible staff in a beautiful location. Absolutely loved it and would definitely go back.

After working at Saorsa 1875 for 3 months I have fallen in love with the place. So much care and attention to detail is put into every day life here, which stems from the fabulous, selfless owner Sandra. She has built an environment that allows every single person that walks through the red doors to see Saorsa as their home. The front and back of house team work tirelessly to create an experience like nowhere else I?ve ever been before and I?ve learnt so much about hospitality from being around such amazing people.I will miss this place a lot, it?s class.

Stylish place with lovely vegan food and inventive cocktails, with a relaxing residents' bar. Comfortable rooms but no TV. A reoccurring theme of naff monkey ornaments throws off the otherwise chic interior design, and breakfast was continental which was a bit disappointing, but lovely, friendly, knowledgeable staff and overall a great experience for vegans!

My husband and I came here for our minimoon. The service, food and atmosphere were all impeccable! Our particular highlight was mugs of hot spiced cider in the hot tub ? better than Prosecco on a cold autumn day?Thank you so much to the team for making it so special. We will be back!

My first stay here at the UK's first (and only?) boutique vegan hotel happened to be mostly perfect. The beds, the vibe, the food - oh wow the food - it was all just tied together into a perfect short stay for two nights. Leo was our first host and he was a treat to be greeted by. The food here is exemplary. Nothing short of amazing. You need to be trained chef/food critic at the top of your game to find any fault here. Service was spot on. There when you needed them, not there when you didn't. Location was dazzling, too. Placed at the edge of Pitlochry, the hotel takes advantage of the garden space to include adequate dog walking (its a dog friendly hotel!). There are also well equipped, functional and comfortable cabins dotted around. My room was neat, clean and ample in size. The bedding is damned good that I've found the supplier and getting some myself. Bathroom is also very clean and not at all claustrophobic. My only one little observation is that though the room was large, it felt a little sparse. I would attempt to add a small desk if possible - though I'm sure it has been thought of. Maybe the right piece has not come along. As for furniture and overall style, this place is dripping in a carefully thought out way that inspires relaxation and keeps you looking out for interesting art or sculptures. Some are neatly hidden away that you kind of need to explore to see it all.TLDR: Perfect retreat and base to begin exploring the Scottish highlands.Food & drinks: Each dinner menu is different per day, rotating on a weekly basis. Monday to Wednesday is a 3 course and weekends is a 5 course. I stayed Monday and Tuesday night. Each mouthful is an exploration in high level vegan cuisine.Cocktails are made strong and with for great value.

This place is a delight, even for non-vegans such as ourselves. The setting, and decor are lovely with a relaxed and welcoming feel, especially for our two dogs! Very comfortable bedrooms and lounge with a real log fire burning. We dined in two nights and really enjoyed the top end vegan food and wine.

We had a great stay at Saorsa 1875! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed sitting in the bar having a drink by the fire before dinner and the dinner was beyond delicious! The location is perfect for those wanting to explore all that Pitlochry has to offer. It's a short walk to the Blair Athol distillery and the bus stop for the Enchanted Forest. Hope to visit again in the future!

Highly enjoyed the atmosphere this all vegan hotel crafted. I felt like I stayed in a rare old style home that looked like a castle on the outside so that?s a win win for me! It is such a unique experience to get an all vegan hotel stay and I?d recommend this getaway. The food was phenomenal, though I wish they?d make sure to include at least one protein rich dish in every evening meal as the second night we were there, the menu didn?t have much protein. Still it was spectacular and super unique food! Stuff I never get to eat, and it was a colourful palette with a beautiful presentation. Also a massive fan of the non alcoholic drinks. SO GOOD. I will be trying to replicate these at home. Perfect flavour. It does get a bit drafty in the space and a bit cold as a result, so just make sure to bring a fleece and some cozy clothes if you?re travelling when it?s cold out. It makes sense that this place being older would feel a bit chillier so just something to be mindful of beforehand. Also good to know that at breakfast they?ll offer warm beans or tofu scramble along with coffee and tea once you sit down, so don?t think the options on the table are the only things, even though those were good too. The only addition I think that could be nice to enhance the breakfast is a few more pastries.I would like to see this place make this a little more all inclusive too, as the drinks, cheese board, hot tub, and some other things were additional costs. The only other recommendation I?d offer is that they create an optional opportunity for the guests to meet and interact more if they want. Everyone kept to themselves during the drinks and dinner which was lovely, but I got the sense some folks might?ve wanted to chat but didn?t want to interrupt others. As a place full of vegans it could be nice to mingle. All in all a fabulous stay that I would highly recommend and definitely return to one day.Nearby activities: Cute walkable town

Absolutely fantastic hotel in a beautiful part of the world. The rooms are comfortable and have thoughtful touches. The staff are all delightful and friendly and incredibly helpful for what to see and do nearby. The restaurant and food menu is excellent. A great dining room and a wonderful experience with a laid back but well presented taster menu and wine pairing. All in all a really enjoyable place to relax. We will definitely return for a slightly longer stay in the near future and hopefully attend a retreat or two.Oh, and everything is vegan! ????

Just a short stay but very impressed with this place. We had dinner there each night and found the food to be inventive, delicious, with tastes and textures we could never approach at home. The wine accompaniment for each course worked well for the most part with interesting ideas though not cheap. Our room was the Golden Eagle and was extremely comfortable.(The EV charger in the car park was a godsend ... but don't tell everyone as there's only one :)Overall, it's somewhere we intend to return to for a longer stay. Can't recommend it enough for vegans or anybody that appreciates good service.

On the positive side, the hotel and the rooms were very nice to stay in. The location of the hotel within Pitlochry is both close to the centre and quietly tucked away. The staff were friendly and helpful when asked. On the negative side, the accommodation is over priced and the food is seriously overpriced. We had the 3 course meal on one evening. I thought the starter and the dessert were good and the main course very mediocre. We had the 5 course meal on the second the next evening. I thought three of the courses were good (nothing outstanding), one was mediocre, and the other was poor. My wife would see this interpretation as over positive. If the aim is to attract people to veganism, by offering an indulgent experience at a reasonable price, then this hotel is far off the mark. If the aim is to financial exploit a growing vegan market, then I am sure it will do well. Overall it is a decent hotel, which fully caters for vegans, but is not good value for money.

I cannot recommend Saorsa enough. As a vegan, this was a paradise. I believe a plant-curious non-vegan would have a lovely, peaceful time here as well. This is a beautifully maintained hotel with the feel of a warm and welcoming B&B. The room was so spacious with high ceilings, huge windows, and a very comfortable bed. We opted for the daily breakfast and the nightly 3 course dinner to get the full vegan experience. The breakfast was perfect, a delicious mix of a buffet as well as hot food, coffee, and tea made to order. The dinners were elevated, beautiful, and so nourishing. One of the best parts was the pre-dinner drinks in their bar/lounge room. So intimate and cozy, with creative cocktails. We only had positive interactions with the staff and owner who all seemed genuinely happy to have us there. It was also a pleasant surprise to realize that we were only a few minutes walk outside of a quaint town with shops and restaurants and a short drive from some beautiful hiking. I am so happy that Saorsa exists and I hope to make it back someday!

Excellent authentic experience. Great food and charming building. We stayed in the Otter Room. En-suite with very comfortable king sized bed. The Vegan evening meal was fantastic. Breakfasts were varied, delicious and substantial. The location gave access to many scenic and walking areas of varying difficulty. We loved The Hermitage for walking, the Queen?s View for scenery and The House if Brewar complex for shopping.
