Rooms bit dated, the breakfast was a let down the fried eggs were watery and didn't look cooked black pudding hard.Ok hotel for a 1 night stay entertainment was good guy signing.Staff friendly manager lovely.

Room was clean enough not perfect but up to an ok standard, good size, food was good, staff friendly, entertainment wasn't great, bar unsure of prices as no prices on display which I thought was illegal, got 2 drinks exact same vodka and diet coke and pint of cider, paid by card so didn't really notice price as wasn't given a receipt but checked next day and 80p price difference? 2 different servers but cost should have been the same, they really need to display prices and give receipts.

Ideal for what I wanted. Room was fine but there was a constant hum from some sort of machinery, an extractor fan in an nearby room maybe?

We have just spent new year at this hotel with Caledonia Travel, room was large and clean, bed comfy but can't say that about the pillows, which were thick and quite hard. There was also the noise overnight, it sounded like a tumble dryer with tennis balls rattling around. The food at dinner was served buffet style and was good and plenty on offer, but not as hot as it could have been, this maybe due to the amount and times of the sittings. James and his staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Overall our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable.

Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're wanting a Gluten Free meal at a function, they had no idea about what it consisted of even although they were asked at time of booking a few months before hand and i was told it wouldn't be a problem and that they could accommodate my dietary food requirement, the person who organised the night out even spoke to the Manager who was working that night and wasn't impressed with his attitude and was overhead calling this person a Karen after complaining that I hadn't had any food yet and everyone else in our company had already finished their starters and their plates were being collected, I emailed the hotel after the night out to complain about my treatment and that I've never been made to feel like I did that night and made to feel I was a total inconvenience to them and I'm still waiting for a response, wouldn't go back there for a meal that's for sure

The restaurant food was absolutely rubbish. The vegetables were cooked just half of the way. The mashed potato either. The expectation was to have a good dinner but in a result never come back. The atmosphere was good. But service so poor.

I would not pay my own money to stay in this hotel.. the bar doesn't open till 6pm every day.. thr is no one to serve you at all through the day.. thr might be Julie how is the most helpful receptionist that I av ever met.. she has to serve you beer as as well as the reception.. she is a absolute legend ?.. but to say the least.. mouse in Mt room for me to get told, ur in the country sir.. now that is not the right thing to say yo a customer staying here for two weeks working away.. they did move me to a worse room tho.. not the same room at all. But to say we live In the country for the mouse in my room is so disgusting.. its a same because thr is nice staff in here..av got to spend another 4 nights here due to boss booking it for so long.. I will not be staying here again after Thursday the 21st of November.. its the worst hotel av stayed in .. specially when av worked away for over 4 years now..

Very quiet hotel, friendly staff, only issue was there was no entertainment at night/ very little to do due to swimming pool etc. closing at 8.45pm and there was quite a few people looking for a pool table we found it on the day of leaving so no use to us. It can be located within The Muse Bar, it was closed and light where switched off the evenings we were there so very hard to find.
Food and drinks: I traveled with a coach party so food was included but I would say options are very poor. They serve a full English breakfast but they?re in Scotland so hash browns no potato scones, links no square sausage etc.

Pleasant service, always smiling and welcoming...but the room was not impressive, the bed was as soft as freshly laid asphalt...in general, the dining experience was bad...

I attended a wedding at the beginning of September and ended up staying the evening. James the manager is fantastic, he went beyond all expectations and brought me some antihistamines when it was clear that my itchy eyes and sneezing were ruining my evening haha. He is extremely friendly and approachable, as is Nicola on the front desk. All the staff are good, cannot fault them at all! I have attended events here before in the past but it was the first time I'd stayed. Reasonably priced and comfortable.

Ok hotel albeit a little tired. Room had everything needed... although facilities need an update. Breakfast was comprehensive...with black pudding which I love!! There is a gym...and a pool...
