Got to say we were very happy with the quick and pleasant service and food. On day out from Glasgow . Dog friendly too. Will be back.

We stopped there for breakfast while travelling before getting on with our day. Food and cakes were very good (albeit the scone was a bit dry). Loved the savoury breakfast dishes, poached eggs with brown bread (and a very yummy bacon) and the Italian toastie. Coffee was good and cappuccino was done properly (not an easy find in Britain). Managers were nice and chatty. Would come back.

Went for coffee today Cake dry and Scone flat as a pancake Coffee lukewarm You have to pay when you order- probably so they xan get away with sharing substandard fare The fact is was almost empty should have warned us The owner cam in at the end- no-one asked us how things were despite his cheerful goodbye - probably thinking MUGS DO NOT GO THERE!

Nice shop but the 2 members of staff didn't even acknowledge us during our time in the shop. Just carried on having their conversation.

Food was fine but manager service no. Rude to another customer and chastised them for not reading the menu properly and customer even apologised and he came back to make sure she knew she was in the wrong. Rude rude rude. Won?t come back

Lovely looking little cafe however disappointed when we arrived and were told 70% of the menu was not available (pizza, pasta, muffins and other things). A waitress serving us had to be stopped before attending to us and was unhelpful and actually very rude. We ended up leaving immediately. Very disappointing and seemingly in accordance with other reviews sadly.

Posting on behalf of my wife: I have an utterly disappointed experience with Coffee&Things, can't even imagine it happening ever in my life. I'm usually not at all picky and happy with any cafe, but for this I would give zero star if I could. I chose this cafe as it has a large selection of cakes which we can't even get to try, and I would say that I never will as I would not go near this cafe again. I have a work meeting today with my colleague who purposely travelled from Forth Valley and we are both professionals (doctors if you really need to know) planning to sit in for the whole day having all our meals in there. We went in around 10ish, had our food and drink ordered, sat down with two laptops trying to work together. Within an hour or less of us sitting - around 11ish, the cafe staff or owner came to us and commented that this is not an Internet cafe and this is a busy cafe, with all possible verbal and non verbal cues suggesting that we should leave. I just looked at him with utter disbelief, while I'm still munching away my lovely Italian toast and sipping my flat white. Due to this rudeness of behaviour, we decided to look for other places to work as it felt really uncomfortable having listened to those comments. The funny thing is the WiFi was not even working and we are using our mobile hotspot without complaining. Firstly, there is no sign saying that there is limited time for every customer. Secondly, it is such a short time period before those comments showered us, not like we have sat there for ages. Thirdly, there are at least 5 more tables empty at one glance, so I'm not too sure of the relevance of those comments happening right then. Fourthly, I'm not sure why "Internet Cafe" per se, is there something else suggested here or are we looked down upon, you could interpret that yourself. Lastly, he said that the cafe could fit 100 people, which as well you can see it for yourself. Maybe one should not have a cafe business if one doesn't appreciate paying customers. My colleague and I both never thought to have such rude experience and this is definitely our first. Still, in this lovely country, I believe there are many other good people around. Try other cafe mate! Thanks and bye!

I love this place, although never eaten in, and always look forward to getting the same thing (ravioli). It doesn't look like much in the tub but they pack it full and it is very tasty and filling. Had a take away on Saturday and the freshly baked bread was AMAZING!! It is always delicious but I think cos it was literally just out of the oven it was the best bread I've ever had. Could you please send me the recipe. The home baked cakes are also scrumptious.

Never eaten here before and luckily found a table as it appeared quite busy. We were given menus quickly and then had to place our order at the counter. Our food came very quickly as did our coffees. We had ordered the soup (lentil but made with green lentils - unusual but tasty) along with a cheese & pickle sandwich (my husband) and just focaccia bread (me). The bread and sandwich were lovely. The focaccia was huge and crisply toasted. The sandwich also huge with plenty of filling. However, the soup, although flavourful, was barely tepid. Such a shame. Nice little café though.

We've walked past this place a few times and considered going in but have been put off by the lack of any obvious menu out on the street or in the window so that we could look at what's on offer before going up to the door. I've never really understood why cafes and restaurants do this. Today we decided to take the plunge and go in. It's nice, clean and airy inside, thought perhaps also a little clinical and not very homely. The decor is very white! When we walked in it wasn't clear whether we were supposed to order at the counter or wait for table service, and none of the staff acknowledged our arrival or told us what to do. All it would take to fix this is a small sign or note on the table asking customers to order at the counter. Even stranger is that there are no menus on the table. The menus are pinned to the wall and if you want to look at them you have to stand up and read the wall which feels a bit awkward/rushed if other people are in the same area waiting to be served. Why not put menus on the tables? On the up side the food is nice, with some lovely sandwich options and some great looking cakes. I really enjoyed the prosciutto focaccia which I'd definitely order again (although it was a little expensive). So some good and some bad, but with a few tweaks this could be a really good place.

Went to the coffee shop this morning first thing as it opened, the owner was nothing but rude and arrogant. Very full of himself and had a chip on his shoulder. His wife rudely interrupted me as I was talking and bit my head off as I asked them what type of food they do, she was awful, the pair of them will turn off people acting like this, Rude arrogant and full of themselves

May not stop buying White stuff all together but would prefer Marks and Joules where refunds are made gracefully. Have formed a poor impression about how White Stuff treats its customers, thanks to the Store Manager at Perth store. I was handed my delivery packet received in the store in the name of Iain, my husband, but refused a refund payment for one item which didn't fit. I was presenting the same card on which the purchase was made, gave the receipt, showed the email, but she refused to refund. Reason given by her "You are not Iain" she said. I could find no merit in this argument and she could not explain. Hence defensively and menacingly, she threatened to report that I had my husband's card !!! What sense does this make that you hand over the packet but refuse a refund on the same card with which the purchase was made. Ironical ! Perhaps her bosses might like to investigate. I was at Marks and Joules on the same day with similar situations - no fuss was made by them. Jaspreet
