Have used in the past without issue, but my partner asked them to replace the timing chain on her car as it's known to fail at a certain mileage. They advised that it was expensive and not necessary without looking at the evidence or her willingness to pay. Barely a year has gone by and a rattle started in the engine. Guess what it was, yes, a blocked oil feed to the tensioner and a stretched timing chain! I'm all for helping to save a customer money and their efforts to not rip people off are commendable, but my partner was prepared to pay for the job and they refused. We have just narrowly avoided an engine replacement.

Have used Struans for years now so have selected almost every service! On this most recent visit, it was a new starter motor though. First of all, i was mightily relieved that they had no problem in accepting my car into their car park off the recovery truck and keeping it there until they had a slot to change the motor. I really thought just into the New Year they'd be chokka block and not want my car taking up space in their car park.I was quite prepared for it to be sitting a few days before they even looked at it. But it rolled off the recovery truck into Struans approx 3.30pm and was fitted with its new motor by 5pm the very same day!Very reasonable prices and especially good with older cars that other garages really don't like to bother with. Can't recommend highly enough.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Engine light was on had an idea it was a faulty sensor and it was had something else checked so mind is now at peace engine light cleared all for no charge 1st rate service !!!

I love this garage. I am a female engineer and have had issues with garages attempting to take me for a ride. Not this place. I have been using this garage in excess of 10 years now, even when living in England I would try to get any work done here. Always very friendly, open and honest.

Went in with a warning light for fuel injection and car was in limp mode. They checked the light and test drove the car and turned out to be a partially blocked filter in exhaust which would clear on it's own.Garage didnt charge me at all for diagnostic which was a pleasant surprise having been ripped off by the likes of kwik fit before.Cleared the blockage by driving at high speed for 15+ miles and car is running fine no warning light since.I was impressed by how professional they were and honest too, I have no doubt some garages might have replaced the filter just so they get some money off me.Will definitely be back for any future repairsService: Auto engine diagnostic

I brought my car in for an MOT and interim service and the experience was lovely from as soon as they answered the phone :) Done everything they were asked. The Staff here are great and the garage runs well under Grant the manager. All are well mannered and efficient and I always have every confidence in them that any job required on the car is always attended to.

Ive been last year there for the Emoty and i asked them just to change the oil filter but they havent done that and I had to pay the next day morning i was drving i got a signal that the oil and filter needed to be changed I went to another garage and theyve saod the comlete opposite that the oil and filter wasnt even touched. Waste of money
