Great place. Reasonable prices clothes and food too, plenty of space and cafe has good food, scones are excellent! Great place for young kids too as they have a lot of tropical fish.

For a so called Dobbiies world it was very poorly stocked and the female toilets were disgusting. Don't think we will be coming back

Arrived about 12 for lunch on Monday 26th Feb. To be honest I always find Dobbies restaurant a complete fiasco. Im not a fan of cafeteria style restaurants as it's just too chaotic and I've no idea why they do it like that. However, the whole experience was made even more unpleasant by the attitude of the staff. There were two guys on the counters and one woman on the till and there was not a please or thank you between them. Unfriendly demeanours, one word answers to questions and the very bare minimum of 'customer service'. They were really verging on rude. All symptoms of low morale due to bad management and poor conditions. Suggest strongly that you review the management of the restaurant at this branch, something is very obviously amiss.

Always changing and good for a cake. Disappointed today as my Dobbies card had no tea on it. I have not claimed any for a while.I could not get an answer ?

Your average Dobbies garden centre, fairly big with a second level although unsure if the second level is accessible by lift (assume so but I didn?t notice one). Decent reductions post-Christmas, cafe is alright although my coffee cup wasn?t full? I know that?s an odd complaint but usually with the froth it reaches the top, it?s the first time I?ve had coffee from somewhere where I questioned if someone had already been drinking it. Many stars given for the lovely fish.

I was at the Centre on Wednesday 27th Dec and I had damaged my knee the previous night. A European waitress appeared at my side and helped me with my food and drink order and I could not believe how kind and cheerful she was. I was so grateful

Poor customer service. Bad Attitude with no help from restaurant staff. Spoke to supervisor at garden centre to be properly informed about problem then solved. There was no teaspoons or knives available for our meal. Had to stir coffee with our fork then use our fork to cut food. Will stick to Monifieth Dobbies from now on

I met up with friends today that had come from Aberdeen and Hamilton for a pre Christmas get together. The disappointment at the state of the food hall was palpable. Tables cluttered and uncleared with the debri of the previous patrons. Not a knife to be had and a manager that thinks swaning about is leadership. Understaffed and the sole worker was working beyond her time- she hadn't agreed she was trying to clear the enormous queue. The manager could have assisted even by clearing tables. I saw one customer clearing and clearing her table for a family group. The toilets were disgusting and toilet paper in short supply.I have always loved going to Dobbies as had my companions and all felt disbelief. This section needs a competent manager and a higher ration of staff for the ratio of customers. On the plus side the Scones were delicious although having to butter with a spoon a tad eccentric. The manager was non plusses by the scarcity of knives and merely stated that they were all out. Perhaps clearing tables and a dish washer should be on his festive list. Not impressed and very disappointed and felt for the young woman trying to answer questions, take orders and operate the till- in her own time!
