It was quiet when we went in but soon filled up a bit. The staff that were on were great. One was in training. He was well supervised. The menu has a great variety and is well priced. We had the mac and cheese. Choice of chip cut too. Will definitely be going back

One of the best steak pies I've had. Meat was very tender and delicious! Mash potato excellent and veg cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a place. Great service from the staff and the chef!

The macaroni was on special and it was actually really nice. I prefer going to the right side of the pub, usually just a few locals and it's nice and quiet. Can get a few games of pool and there's always some dogs in to clap ?

Despite a large sign indicating a rear car park, access is blocked off. We had to reverse out on to a busy road and find on-street parking. Talking to some friendly locals, they indicated that the car park has been shut for years. Why does the sign remain?Service was a little slow as there appeared to be only one person front of house, looking after both the public and lounge bars.The food was good and enjoyed by all in our group.
