On route from Dundee to Edinburgh we stopped in Penicuik for the night.
We wanted to grab a pint at a proper pub and came across The Old Crown. What a great pub with friendly locals. Sammy the bartender was wonderful, friendly and just a generally great lass. She recommended a local craft beer that hit the spot (a few times).
We highly recommend a drop into this charming, sweet pub for some pints and chat with the locals, it made our day!

Proper pub with fantastic lady serving only had a half as I was driving pretty strict drink driving in Scotland better half had a pint. Beer superb
