I stayed here while working in the local area.Well what a nice surprise. The staff were very welcoming and polite.I didn't eat in the restaurant, but the menu looked very good, and all the produce is sourced locally. The room was good with all the necessary stuff, all of good quality. Plenty of hot water and nice fluffy towels. There is plenty of choice for breakfast. I had Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Very good and plenty of smoked salmon.Would I recommend and stay again. Most definitely. Would I stay if I'm going to Edinburgh. Yes, it's worth travelling and saving some money instead of paying Edinburgh prices. If you find my review useful please follow as I review on a regular basis and give an honest review.

Veggie option was not super exciting and contained way more dry cous cous and raw zucchini than any dish should but was redeemed somewhat by the roasted aubergine that was on top. From what I gathered from my dining companions, the other dishes were excellent though, particularly the fish and chips. The sticky toffee pudding was top tier. I will also give a special mention to the kids mac n cheese, the leftovers of which I was lucky enough to steal from a two year old. It was wonderful, especially when mixed with the leftover whisky sauce from somebody's haggis bon bon starter. Yes, I am a scavenger. Please put whisky sauce mac n cheese on the main menu.

This wonderful little hidden gem of a hotel deserves far more than the 5 out of 5 I can give it. Service - superb, friendly, warm and welcoming from ALL staff. Food - WOW! Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Best pork ever, melted in the mouth. Hubby had the best pie-scrummy Room - lovely, comfy, well decorated with the best bathroom we?ve had in any hotel. Thank you to all involved, can?t wait for my brekkie tomorrow, not sure I?ll have room after tonight?s meal, but I will give it a good go!

Stayed overnight to attend a wedding. Lovely friendly welcome. We were allowed to use the room even though we were early so that we could get changed. Very comfortable, clean room. Nice toiletries. Well equipped with a safe, fridge, iron. Quiet. Absolutely lovely breakfast. The outdoor bar area is also really lovely. Would really recommend

Off the beaten track and amongst residential housing! Lovely hotel, well situated for Edinburgh city and Roslyn Chapel. See my other reviews .The hotel is clean and tidy. Great staff, polite and friendly. Evening dinner was amazing. And breakfast was to order. Anything that's on the menu including the cakes. The salmon and scrambled eggs was very tasty. Highly recommend this hotel and if we visited Edinburgh again we're likely to come stay here.

We had our Daughter Diane and Son in law Paul's wedding on Saturday 24th June. Jamie the manager and all his staff from start to finish made it a very special day for all. Many thanks to you all Margaret and Graham.
