We often go for walk with the kids and stop to get coffee and hot chocolate . Gosh this guy is so unpleasant !! As soon as you steps in you feel like to bothering him . I?ve never understand you can be so rude and unpleasant to people when you suppos to welcome them .

Absolutely superb food and service. Thank you all. All 12 of us descended on you, hungry and thirsty in the heat. We were served great coffee, the best panini you could wish for and best of all, huge slabs of fantastic cakes!
I don't know how you do it in such a small space. But, we were very grateful. Thanks ??

First time to cycle from city to pentland, came across this cafe. First thing will caught your attention is a very friendly guy who runs the cafe, very accomodating plus the food is great service is fast. If you are around the area visit this cafe for a wee meal with cofee or a soup.

Coffee, cake and service always good, but just now if weathers good (Sat and Sun) there?s a meat grill!
Meat roll was delicious- two kebabs with mustard in a large toasted bun :) ate too quick for a photo

Absolutely lovely little café! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Their cakes are amazing?we especially loved the honey cake and the plombir cake, both incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The coffee was very good, rich and smooth, just the way we like it. A perfect spot for a relaxed treat. Highly recommended!

Very good selection of sandwiches, cakes, etc. Good coffee, too. Very tasty panini with cheese, tuna, and mayo. It came with a lovely salad. Friendly and chatty staff.

The Cafe Express is a hidden gem of an eatery. It is a regular stop when I'm there cycling. I had the chicken noodle soup, their signature Honey cake, and delicious coffee. The soup is a lovely family recipe that tasted fantastic. Thank you, and I'll definitely keep comimg back.

We went for a walk around the reservoir and needed some scran after burning some calories. We went into the pentland hills cafe express and wowsers the food was sensational! Had some lovely coffee and the best chicken noodle soup we have ever had , homemade stock from real roasted chicken, simply outstanding ! Cakes looked amazing too, and the place had a great vibe . Do yourself a favour , go in immediately..........WHY ARE YOU STILL READING THIS, GO NOW!!!

We had great paninis here at the end of our walk, one vegan, one vegetarian and they were both fresh and delicious. This was an easy place to grab a bite. Thank you.

Do not recomend as I find £3.20 for a double espresso is just too outrageous. It's not even that much in Edinburgh.
Especially as it's the coffee that takes the least amount of time or ingredients to make.
