My second visit here, I was totally disappointed after I had recommended it to family for a Birthday Celebration. Food was luke warm, Garlic bread was burnt to the point it should never of been put on to plater to serve, it was sent back to kitchen. For a party of 19 I feel we were an inconvenience to the winton.
Better suited for couples or small gatherings.

Had lovely evening meal here last night staff very attentive and food amazing. Back for lunch today different staff very friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere, very clean , can?t fault the place .

Visited The Winton last week and loved it. The haggis bonbons were crisp and full of flavour, the fish and chips were perfectly cooked with fresh, flaky fish, and my partner?s steak and Guinness pie was rich and hearty. Fresh food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere.

Remarkably busy for a Tuesday night. Staff a bit rushed, but very pleasant.
Interesting choice of food on the menu.
I had whitebait which is something I've not seen for a long while. It was very good. The bruschetta and arancini were also well received.
Vegetarian mains of pea and mushroom linguine, and tofu gyros, were both a little bit different but tasty. It makes a great change from the standard vegetarian options that are often rolled out.
Too much food for for the rather sumptuous dessert options.

had a family meal tonight at the winton and the service and food was 10/10 chef caitlin was so accommodating and our waitress was fantastic, definitely recommend! the food is out of this world??

Interesting menu and meals nicely presented. This was a midweek lunch time.. The carpark looked full, but the place seemed quiet.

We had a lovely meal here last night. Food was well cooked and great presentation. Staff team were extremely friendly and attentive and made a fuss. If our two dogs. Will definitely be back!

We had a family/friends meal for 14 of us. What a great day we had, faultless food, service, lovely friendly staff. So well organised from start to finish. Have been many times now as we live locally and consistently excellent in our experience. Very highly recommended.

Just had another lovely meal .. starters all yummy .. chicken parfait, and the best bruschetta I?ve had .fish and chips , partner got the large and what a size .. I got the mussels , came with homemade bread which was so lovey and great for dipping in the sauce .

Highly recommend The Winton. I used to know it when it was a pub and never had the chance to visit since it's been done up to a restaurant so going back around 17 years! It was outstanding service and the food was to die for hopefully next time I'll have room for pudding but I can't fault this place whatsoever and it's been lovely coming back and remembering some lovely times I had in Pencaitland will definitely be back again soon
